From the bandcamp: ''The Paul Blackford Anthology Volme One. A collection of the bass maestro's best tracks from his prolific career. Chosen with care, this release is guaranteed to make your body move. "So this is it, a collection of beats that I've made over the years (the first of four volumes). Some have been released before, some have not, some are new and some are from an old DAT tape of demo material that I produced when I was pretending to be doing work at college.'' CD is limited to 100 copies Buy it from bandcamp: https://bodycontrolrecords.bandcamp.com/album/bc023-the-paul-blackford-anthology-volume-one Some previews: https://soundcloud.com/pa…

"After 17 years of silence dub techno stalwarts Porter Ricks are back with the Shadow Boat EP, a new three-tracker on Berlin’s Tresor label. The release will be followed by an album, due out next year. The duo’s last release was a split EP with Techno Animal which came out on Mille Plateaux back in 1999." http://crackmagazine.net/2016/10/dub-techno-duo-porter-ricks-return-17-years/

The base for this idea where artists such as Virlyn, Sk'p, Kingstux & Akwalek, but also some hidden onces, of wich we are now very pro…

Datassette - Selected Offal I was just made aware of this via Bleep's Facebook page. Out today it seems? I never listened to Offal (1999-2004) for whatever reason, perhaps because it was daunting, perhaps because I forgot. So this 18-track collation is very much appreciated. https://bleep.com/release/76811-datassette-selected-offal Shipwrec cement what is hopefully the first of many albums from ambient-electro lynchpin Datassette with Selected Offal. Arriving two yeas after his Apollo 12", which bought the Datasette sound to a wider audience, he submerged himself back in the electronic underground before without little fanfare or warning dropped a hun…

I played this game called small radios big televisions yesterday, it was an okay game, but the soundtrack is great, so i figured that some people here would like it. It has a lot of warm synths and interesting melodies, so it's reminiscent of boards of canada and com truise, except with a more cinematic and laidback vibe; less focus on drums. https://owendeery.bandcamp.com/album/small-radios-big-televisions

A 13-disc boxed set which will see all of Vangelis’ classic works recorded for the Vertigo and Polydor labels gathered together and remastered in a lavish box with essay and many photographs. The discs are housed in two die-cut, gatefold disc holders within a rigid 242mm square slipcase and alongside a substantial (probably 64-page) book, much like the recent Steve Hackett ‘Premonitions’ set. Featuring the albums “Earth”, “L’Apocalypse Des Animaux”, “Opera Sauvage”, “See You Later”, “Chariots of Fire”, “Antarctica”, “Mask”, “Invisible Connections” and his collaborative albums with Jon Anderson as JON & VANGELIS; “Short Stories”, “The Friends of Mr Cairo” & “Privat…

New album. Fans of William Basinski & Cocteau Twins step inside. Andrew Hargreaves (The Boats/Cotton Goods) returns to his Tape Loop Orchestra accompanied by singer Beth Roberts for an album of sublime, multi-layered and slow-building ambient scapes that comes strongly recommended if you're into Stars of The Lid, William Basinski, Tim Hecker and Rachel’s, or indeed if you collected that beautiful series of releases on Cotton Goods. https://boomkat.com/products/the-invisibles

New 180g 6LP set with 'deluxe packaging', 48-page hardback book, etc. It's got the original album, the bonus stuff that appeared on the 10th anniversary deluxe 2CD, and a bunch of new remixes by other artists. I've avoided grabbing Endtroducing on wax as the repress was handled by Back to Black, and those guys are notorious for just using the cd masters. Looks like my patience has paid off! Don't care too much for the guest remixes, but everything else is enough to warrant my investment. www.djshadow.com

“Drugstore phones” is a double LP from Russian wizard Piper Spray. This enigmatic producer is a hidden gem of the Russian electronic underground. The album is taking you on the unexpected trip in many ways – it’s hard to define the genre but one can feel the author’s will for experiments and exploration of new sound. This sonic documentary of Piper’s world is breathing and constantly changing, it has no borders, though it’s the most balanced and mature work of the author. Spectacular opener of the GOST ZVUK's gatefold LP series. 2x12'' LP, hand stamped white label, 180 g. November 2016, Russian Federation. Check this out:
