Kia just released the newest in their 8 Singles series. "You and I" by Washed Out feat. Caroline Palochek. http://www.adultswim.com/promos/201005_kia/index.html So far the songs have all been good but I don't know how I feel about Kia trying 2 b kewl to sell some cars. What do you think of this marketing gimmick, watmm?

It Slipped Her Mind From the duo of Karl O’Connor (Regis) and Juan Mendez. Sounds like Polygon Window meets Suicide.

Slipknot - Slipknot 1 2 3
by Guest A/D- 55 replies

ok, I know chen and like 1 other person will read this, but whatever. I decided to write a big long piece on why I like this album so much. tl;dr/lots of too long sentences below. Slipknot's self-titled album is my favorite metal album ever. What makes this album so much fun to listen to is its great attention to composition. Each song is not a series of sections, it's a smart mix of ebb and flow. Nobody stays with one idea for more than a couple of bars, and if they do, it's because the song has been built up enough for the catharsis of repetition. Like long-form classical stuff, the texture and structure of the whole disc is implicated in the ea…

Eden Grey - Reciprocal Sex Soul
by Guest SecondaryCell- 2 replies

The new Eden Grey album - Reciprocal Sex Soul - is now available in the FEM Records store. "The title of this album, Reciprocal Sex Soul, embodies the idea that our souls may be of our opposite gender, or perhaps that our souls have no gender at all. The songs featured in this collection come from all sides of the music spectrum; it is a soulful and avant-garde mixture of sounds, with IDM glitch, electro, dubstep, and ambient vibes. This dramatic album is dedicated to healing, forgiveness and impermanence. Featuring the vocal talents of Autumn Suna." - Eden Grey Reciprocal Sex Soul is now available as a physical CD release as well as a digital download. Preview c…

I quite like this, I thought it was inevitable that they'd end up doing more conventional vocals but I don't mind as I quite like Tyondai Braxton's voice. Pity you'll probably have to buy another album of overwhelming crap to get it though. Link

I'm starting to produce music with FL Studio, and I am only getting better and better. Sooo I've been thinking of a name for myself for a few weeks now. But I can't think of a good one. (I never been good with naming myself, had a hard time thinking of a gaming alias lol) So if you guys could throw some names or even some words I can mix around with, I would appreciate it so much. *Looking for a name that has some thing to do with: -BASS/Trance/Techno/Eurodance -Not really into the "DJ" naming like DJ Tiesto. I rather something like Tiesto :D thats really all. THANKS GUYS <3 [o_O]

So, if you were only allowed listen to one WATMM artist only for the rest of you days. Knowing full well what they have to offer. Who would it be. I know the place is full of Aphex fanboys but personally he doesn't do the whole deal for me. For me, it's the The Black Dog. Just something about their music that lets you listen to it over and over and still come away with a new perspective on it. I know I know, there is going to be a bitch about "Oh, you cant divide Plaid and tBD on two separate lines it's more complex than that". Well, I just did. Pick one. If I'm honest though, there was Autechre and BOC competing for 2nd and Squarepusher running a very …

saw this tonight on the Documentary Channel, interesting stuff; pretty much follows Girl Talk through his career, but also touches on Creative Commons and Brazil's refusal to recognize US copyright law. also some good swipes at Disney. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9oar9glUCL0

He's so amazing. I found him when listening to the black dog ambient mix. He makes minimalistic neo-classic. Give it a listen if you haven't heard him. My english is not good enough to describe this music. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtPJ0Lf73Ys&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WqQ30tEIdHQ&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qsq7Itj5P5w&feature=related

'Power', now readily gettable on blogs, p2ps and torrent sites everywhere. Typically massive production, King Crimson samples, walls of backing vocals, classical piano flourishes.... Another win. haha and plenty of lyrics to further irritate the haters
