i got one of these today and its awesome, there was lots of reviews saying that it sounds horrible, Yeah it probally does with the headphones it comes with, but change the headphones and its awesome. i got the 8gb version for £50 which is really good, because if it wasnt for the deal it was £48 for the 4gb. its small and compact and most importantly it doesnt need itunes to work, just drag and drop. i was a bit scared for the sound quality but after a quick rince of bwoon dub and sp's machines of god it sounds really nice. does anyone else have one?

are beautiful people more intelligent? 1 2

one could argue that they would be i suppose beauty is one factor in attraction and the more people you have wanting to be with you i guess the more information you'll have to process and that would mean you would learn more valuable information... but then i was at a birthday party for my great uncle today and my cousin there is so annoying with her son that i fear he'll absorb those traits and be unattractive despite the fact that he is not suffering in the looks department i think the sex factor also has a lot to do with it hot girls attract nymphomaniac men, and good- looking men attract gold-digging women, so... i'm not sure there's a lot of…

http://tech.yahoo.com/blogs/null/132464 ok i've had like 5-10 fucking people come up to me telling me i need to strap on a digital magnum to perambulate through the endless arrays of internet vaginas of the world and seriously people think i'm brash and crazy for not fearing the next big internet virus, seeing as the only virus/worm/trojan/whatever i've caught was called the tai-pei virus way back circa 1996 and all it did was add 300 bytes of code to .exe files in DOS, a few of them with CRC checks were like oh n00z. but anyways, i'm obviously a fucking idiot and wrong about life in general, so basically, the internet is gonna die tomorrow and you're all gonna …

so if you were able to have a genie grant you a wish of being changed over to the female gender side of things, which whattem member would you serenade in the hopes of getting them to hopelessly fall in love with you and crush crush emote flirt mad game penis pictures for perhaps the most ultimate pisstake in the sub-game-life that is whatteming?!@ lord knows it's a time honored tradition here to create a female dupe persona, build it up slowly over time, and then eventually show interest in a guy and see how far you can get him to go in the name of taking the piss out of them, so like, thats where i wanna come in and speculate as to who you'd try to victimize with y…

So for the last year or so, around the times of 11pm to 2am, there will randomly be intervals of some horrific sounding creature howling off in the woods. Every few evenings this thing will randomly pop out and make some of the most awful noises I've ever heard. It's like a toddler being murdered or something. Sometimes it sounds distant, sometimes it sounds like it's 20 feet away. Tonight it popped up and I thought "shit, I should record this". I quickly plugged in my shitty USB headset, put it up to the screen window, and got this sample: Visit My Website The clicking sound is my mouse clicking as I try to increase the gain in windows for a clearer recor…

I've realized after attempting to write several album reviews or small recommendations if you will that every time I do it nothing about it feels natural. Explaining music just seems so pointless... yet the fucking worse part about it is... in social situations it leaves me completely dumb founded when it comes to naming albums, artists, genres I like... and I often give just really generic stupid responses, because nothing else really comes to mind. I just get blank in the head. Yet, I spend probably 20% of my day thinking/listening to music... seems weird.

Well at long last the opening rounds are here and tournament play has officially begun! The top 64 teams were voted on by you and I and are now seeded 1-16 in four divisions. Here's a look at the bracket and how the teams have been seeded: http://www.bracketmaker.com/tmenu.cfm?tid=317317 So, scroll through the poll and simply pick the winner of each match. The winner will advance to the next round and so on until we have crowned the most IDM thing of 2009. Each round lasts about a day so I'll close the poll and start the next round around this time tomorrow (5 PM US Mountain Time). We already have some very compelling matchups (my particular favorites b…

Of course, through watmm.com's countless iterations, we're probably closer to 5-6 million posts than the paltry 1 million mark we're approaching, but still, it's a milestone - should we do anything special?

why do some members not show up in the members list even if you search for them... e.g. Fred McGriff or Beno also some profiles omit members' recent threads/posts and we really should have a watmm wall of shame imo a testament to all the members who have been banned

http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/2009/mar/3...mb-book-genesis Spring, 2009 Robert has finished the Genesis project. It's 201 pages. He has also finished the Cover, the Introduction, the commentary (for the back sleeve) and also the Map, which will be in the beginning of the book. The book is soon going to production and it's planned to be released this fall. And what are his plans now that this huge project is complete? He has to catch up on his correspondence which has been building up some time now. And then a little break—a journey to the States. He and Aline are talking about collaborating on a book upon his return, but that's later this summer. .

I have a day off today, and have been looking forward to this album for a while. So I popped down the shops this morning and have just given it a first listen. It's good. Not exactly underappreciated but i dunno how many of you have heard his stuff so heres a couple of youtube clips, amazingly gifted composer asyla 3rd movt (surprisingly not very well played by berlin phil) piano quintet aria from his opera based on shakespeare's tempest, absolutely mindblowing- the voice is so high that you really need the subtitles to actually recognise the words.

You all know this device well I think. This must have been a fucking joke. Some engineer won the lottery and was all like "Well fuck man I don't really care about my job now... what can I do as a parting joke?" so he fuckin thought real hard and this is the shit he came up with: What the fuck? He even called it the fucking PANIC button! This guy was probably pissing himself laughing and thinking "wow I can't wait to see what the boss says when he fires me for this shit" and what happens? Congratulations sir, we are now incorporating this into all car keys from now on. What the fuck is the point of this button? Its only purpose is to cause panic, because fuck …
