It might be easier to like Babe Rainbow if he didn't come across as such a wack-ass hipster douchebag in those shitty vimeos troon linked. And then to rip off Req and re-edit witchcraft films from the 1920's? Anyone on this forum could do that (including guys like joshier and hathat). Hot diggity dang, this guy makes Hudson Mohawke look like the new Mozart. Wise up fellas.

He made a Wavves remix I think that speaks for itself.

And also that tune is a rip off of Req, a beatsmith who did it properly. These Johnny Cum Lately types are a scurge on the music scene.
Wise up troon, you manchild

I'm interested enough to buy this when it's released, sounds decent.

It's hard to take the clit's trolling seriously though, it's so cartoonish. In fact, for the internet, I'd say it's downright good natured.

personally i like the simple style of Babes video's and look forward to seeing
how his whole world evolves and matures. his music's and vid's have a dark and
emotional quality mixed with meaning within meaning. i have been searching for
something to satisfy after my initial Burial lustings. i like what
listening to Babes music's and watching his vid's makes
me contemplate. i am attracted to Babe Rainbows compositions as theme
music to this grand mystery we all think we are so familiar with on
the outside, but indeed which most of us know nothing about.

i am constantly searching for those things which fit together.
i am hopeful that Babe Rainbow will continue to prove himself as being one of them.

LOLZ, ketamine autechre

I'd say this is ok, a little bit long maybe. Better than most of the yahoos Warp has been digging up lately. I'd be interested to hear some of his other tracks. I must say that I hate the artist name Babe Rainbow though- a little too ironic hipsterish...

Also it's another example of someone taking video made by someone else and editing it to fit their tune, that is by its very nature, a pile of wank. Film the video yourself or don't even bother.

Wait...so sample-based music is wank, too? Some is, of course, but the concept of using samples and creating something new is wank?

Just checking this out now. Very mellow, not really inspiring much of a reaction in favor or against. I'd have to hear more, could be interesting.

now i am going to agree with you on the name bit, babe rainbow is kinda a shit name.

it barely works enough for me to not be riddled and ruled by it every time i see it (which is good).

i was trying to think of a few projects that i like that have shit names
...which then made me realize just how much of a shit name babe is.

what about anything in front of rainbow instead of babe, anything would work.

black rainbow
bent rainbow
burnt rainbow
stained rainbow
inflamed rainbow
maimed rainbow
tamed rainbow
rearranged rainbow

getting back to the point though, this boy is
going to surprise us. i think that he's just getting started.

(maybe hill change his name mid way like clark did)

'rainbow'

i think i like that better

I think both parts of the name should be changed. Or mixed. Bainrow. Barebow. Babrow. Wobrain. Naibrow. I dunno. It's shit.

He should try phrrrrrrrrrbrabe fpfpfpfpfpfphrrrrrainbow. You have to produce loads of goz first to get the proper spit-splatter effect. Yes, that should definitely be the name. Can someone tell him please?
