article-0-0A6B9B56000005DC-68_468x286.jpg

and

David-Silva-signs-for-Man-City.jpg

As for my beloved Cardiff City we can't sign anyone as we're under a transfer embargo and haven't paid our tax bills or filed the accounts for the 2008-2009 period. Only at Cardiff City does the drama never end.

23.54 BST: The Sunday Express says Sir Alex Ferguson is lining up a bid for Philipp Lahm. It also suggests he might be about to sell Dimitar Berbatov, which doesn't seem too likely given his comments below (23.23).

23.40 BST: The News of the World also says Real Madrid could move for Patrice Evra if the Ashley Cole bid fails. Apparently Evra's house is up for sale and that could mean he's off, although you'd have to think Evra would need Jose to firm up his interest a bit before selling his house.

23.35 BST: The News of the World is claiming Liverpool have offered Joe Cole £4.7 million a year as they look to outbid Spurs. That's £90k a week, and they're apparently offering a signing-on fee, too.

Link to comment

I would hate to see Evra go, he's one of the best left backs in the game. If we get Lahm, who do we give up? Hopefully Wes Brown. Hopefully not either of the da Silva brothers. Interesting that Vidic is rumoured to be interested in going to Madrid. I don't think he'd fit in in La Liga for some reason...lol

Joe Cole did sweet fuck all during the world cup. Then again, so did the rest of the English side, so that's not saying much.

So glad I ignore the tabloids.

We have someone on trial with the surname La Roux, and nobody on our messageboard has the faintest clue who he is.

lol at Man CIty offering 20 Million quid for Balotelli. Just what you need in the premiership, a lazy arrogant forward who doesn't know how to play defense.

Having said that, lol I hope we don't give up Berbatov - I love watching other Man U fans bitch about him.

Big shake up at Liverpool going on - Insua gone, N'Gog, Riera and Kyrgiakos on the chopping block. Joe Cole maybe coming in. Liverpool needs some defenders....

Oh and big lol at Gallas going to Panathinaikos - so that's where Greece's IMF loan is going.

Gallas going to Panathinaikos - so that's where Greece's IMF loan is going.

lol, the EU-IMF should have negotiated his contract (rumored to be less then 2 million €) because anything more than a nickel is a ripoff.

Joe Cole has snubbed two Champions League teams for higher wages I'd bet.

Although saying that he'll have more chances to play at Liverpool because they've lacked a decent left-footed midfielder for almost a decade. Well done Hodgson for trimming the dead-weight and addressing the problem that everyone has always known about Liverpool.

But he could have been a big star at Spurs too. At Arsenal I think he would have been a useful sub though.

Link to comment

they have so many attacking midfielders at Arsenal, he would have been an expensive waterboy.

He fits in nicely at Liverpool, so defintely good move on Hodgson's part.

LOL at Puyol saying "Cesc deserves to come to the best club in the world". Funny, I don't recall seeing barca in the champions league final.

I'm glad we bought him, definitely. We need someone like him especially with Benayoun leaving. Let's see if he can stay fit though....

think cole at liverpool could be a winner, still need at least a couple more players before they challenge properly again, in my opinion though. would have been interesting to see him at spurs but there ya go.

anyone hear the 'drogba to city' rumour? (started by his agent, lol) think it's bollocks myself cuz they'd spend too much on a guy who's already 30+, but it's quite funny.
