I know, the wait is a killer on this one. Keep the hype alive! Nice visuals from Konx-Om-Pax

is that who did this vid? goddammit, the dude is like, two or three years YOUNGER than me and killin it on motion

Yeah, don't you hate that? Haha

I keep replaying it.

i do, and as both a professional motion graphic designer/animator, and an amateur musician, he's already beaten me on both counts (a bit debatable on the music end, but he's got good press for it too). son of a bitch.

Yeah the Lemurian cover is dreadful. Looks like a psytrance album or something like that.

But it has some great tracks.

It turned me off briefly, I thought it was one of many imitation-driven, mediocre glo-fi albums floating around, because it just screamed...

I liked Kona Triangle's art and feel that aesthetic would of fit Lemurian more. I've seen more glaring "bad cover, great music" examples though. The same person did older Lone albums, and if it was Matt Cutler himself, well then he certainly has refined and improved his imagery lately.

listened to this one on bleep today. it's really good, in that i dig the majority of the songs. however, it seemed to be exhausting as a comprehensive start-to-finish album experience. hence why i think echolocations ep is better; it ends before overstaying its welcome.

that's about the worst thing i can say about it. lone kicks ass and the songwriting at least reflects this.

I just found out that Lone had a side project called Kids in Tracksuits with another guy, good for the waiting...

Yeah, pre-Kona Triangle, found it through lastfm. He says himself that he's "shit at collaborating" which explains all of his excellent solo output and his moniker...

Lone!
