God this is so bad.

I was in a friends car who has 3- 12" subs in the back and he was fucking with the settings of the audio in the car to 'in the air tonight'... with a bowel churning amount of bass and being drunk, that song was actually taken to a new level of awesome.

Phil Collins respect haha :cerious:

jandek is pretty awesome imo. at the very least it's a very original approach to music. i can see that it being "terrible" is part of the charm though, maybe that's what you're getting at.

My friends and I always joked that Jandek was the one outsider musician that had no redeeming qualities. Like, The Shaggs and Wesley Willis both sound cool in their own way, but Jandek just sucks. We couldn't even say that he was better than pop music, like Beiber. We laughed so much at "Mother's Day"; we managed to get that song played at a school event once.

But music is subjective, and I can see why someone would like it. I'm glad he exists, too, because he's fucking hilarious.

I'm definitely with you. He can be pretty goddamned hypnotic, honestly, and the mood captured in his first 10-15 years of music is amazing. Very much suicide blues.

Oh wow, this makes me feel better. I thought I had the wrong kind of brain because I don't ejaculate when I hear Jandek..

Jandek @ Rudyards is one of my favorite Youtube videos. 1:36 is the best.
