Is Steinvord a pseudonym of Tom Jenkinson?

Steinvord is a portmanteau of an Aphex Twin and a Squarepusher track, many tracks sound like outtakes of Go Plastic and Drukqs but never reach the same level as they do. To deny it's influence and try to spin Steinvord as something original... I don't know what to think of that.

Steinbolt + Vordhosbn = Steinvord!

This EP just keeps getting better. i discover more sounds and rhythms on those huge tracks every time I play them. Needs a digital release tho, would like to just press play and heard them instead of setting up my deck everytime. I wish i had more time for vinyl these days

I don't really care for Him... It's decent enough, but because he's simply not unique, I can't get into it right now... Perhaps once he develops his style a bit more.

But he's DEFINITELY not The Pusher or RDJ.

How do you justify your last statement?

I submit, that I can't say for sure. I feel as though the EP as a whole is characteristically not either of them... Sounds like possibly unreleased materials from both. But they are respectively unique artists, and Steinvord is either a set of unreleased material by both artists, or an excellent emulation. Either way, I don't much care for Ontrack or Cyg X-1. Lyff Acid is quite great though.

Steinvord shares more similarities with RDJ, if anything.

I'd speculate as far as to assume that Steinvord is a collective of inidividual productions by at least Tom Jenkinson and Richard James.

Lastly, do you know anything about this mysterious artist off of Rephlex known as Steinvord?

TJ: What’s the name of the artist?

Steinvord. It’s supposedly a pseudonym for a mixture of two of yours and Richard D. James’s tracks (

and
)

TJ: No—I mean, nothing I could say about it in public, no. [Laughs] But in all honesty, what can I say? Nothing.
