Richard D. James already creates the music I would like to create, so I focus on visual art.

Not that my work has a lot to do with Aphex Twin or Autechre. But I sure listen to their music a lot when I create.
Feedback is welcome.
And yes.. Richard D. James, Rob Brown and Sean Booth are not my only heros.

So far galeries are not interested. I think my works don't fit in the 'art world'.

i really like it, nice stuff. kinda reminds me of polish abstract painters, but i know crap on the subject so i am 99% wrong.

BUT, the title implies you don't like any other art. may wanna work on that ;)

I really like them. 'Mindscapes' is a great name for them, they are a mix of abstract and specific scenes and objects. I can see metallic structures and the future, a farm with a road, flowers, insides of churches, all kinds of things. You're good at having a consistent style while having it varied. I really like the atmospheric ones with the trees, lovely work with the pencil, nice gray hues. The more abstract ones with shapes makes me think of the movie Cube and Alva Noto. It's all pretty nice but I have a few favorites.

It's wonderful to find out that you work with charcoal, as it is a material that i personally love, and which gives your pieces a certain mood, especially and strongly, when they are mixed with color. But it makes me sad to feel that you are still stuck in a limited set of geometrical patterns that are imprisoning the ideas you want to express.
The Mindscape 2 - Series 4 is a personal favorite because i don't feel like the abstract geometry is incarcerating the composition, and instead dilutes in it.
If you have been listening to Autechre, you can feel that their music is about geometrical patterns, axes, and energy floating around them, trying to escape, come and go. Your pieces are very close to that.

Also, great to know that you are inspired by electronic music. I myself have been creating with that same sort of inspiration, even tho in a different way and with different results. Because it is not physical like non electronic music, electronic music is cerebral in the first place, and it does trigger the most obscure and remote corners of our imaginative mind.

Sorry if it is not a very constructive, developed or objective critique to your work. I like to make my first impressions clear, as i won't have the chance to feel them again...

First impressions are very welcome.

Electronic music like Autechre, inspires, makes you see music visual. I work with my own music, moods, and translate it visual.
I also have my favorites, even though I create them. Some are stronger, more at their place at that moment. But sometimes some works I found a bit less, grabbed me unexpected.

I'm curious, what have galleries said to you? Have they given specific gripes or just not shown any attention/response?

Looks good on those walls

90% no response.
The rest - short response.. like, it doesn't fit with their style they want to represent.

this sounds like my label hunting.

but in all seriosuness, you barely ever get into anything from the street. befriend some people, do some work at art festivals and sooner or later someone will come up with an offer.

the days of stunning mavericks having money showed down their throats are long gone.

I feel like your artwork is in the middle of some atomic fission that causes a nuclear explosion... and that is what we are looking at. Real cool stuff
