Nukem Forever isn't really a good analogy anymore, unless you mean it'll come out in 10 years and it'll be really bad..

haven't used live in an age so i don't know what the exact differences are to be honest. the mixer view is really good (very renoise-y) i like you can see notes on top of each other and the arranger viewer looks pretty good as well.. it all seems to make more sense and more matured than live. live has been pretty static in the sense of how everything is layed out..

if they sell it for around 50bucks I might get it. :) hehe

cheap price point would be very smart. aiming around the same price as Reaper would be a good thing.

however, I'm sure they won't be smart about it - so far they haven't been very smart in the hype department...

hmm, am I the only one that doesn't like this? feels cheap to me, i dunno why. personally i really like how simplistic live's interface is, i hate having to click all over the place to constantly open and close windows like the mixer or whatever as you work through a project. this seems a little cluttered and unfocused. i realize that won't be the popular opinion though. i'll still definitely try it out when i can, but i don't see this as a threat to Live at all, especially for anyone that knows Live in and out who undoubtedly sees this as very superficial. feels like you are taking a huge step backwards to re-invent the wheel. my money is on Ableton blowing this out of the water whenever they get around to releasing Live 9.

by the way +1 for anyone that has been tricked by this thread title more than once...

but really I know what you mean. But you have to admit you are not at all the average user. You make money doing Live tutorial vids haha. Of course you won't like something new. :) I really have no judgements about it until it is actually usable.

hahahaha top comment from that youtube vid.

oh no doubt same here, just initial impressions. i always try to keep an open mind about stuff like that, as much as you love something now there may come a day when something better comes along and you can't let your pride get in the way. that's why i haven't tattooed the Live logo on my body yet, although i really want to...
