Pitchfork has just started "The People's List". It's where all of their users choose their top 20-100 albums from when Pitchfork started (1996) to 2011, and then they'll compile that into a list. I know, I know, Pitchfork is hipster bullshit, but it's still fun to choose your favorites and see how they fare.

it would be kinda funny if this effort was spammed and the picks consisted of nothing but big beat, nu metal, derivative trip-hop, trance DJ mixes, and adult contemporary albums that won Grammys. Not truly bad music either, but stuff too good to ever be ironically praised by pitchfork. As a bonus, all the positive reviews pitchfork have since deleted from their archives (seriously, I swear they've removed reviews they'd be embarrassed about now) could be sprinkled throughout the list.
