welcome to 2004

Ultravisitor came out in 03' . :mu-ziq::emotawesomepm9:

Yeah, I have it in my hands and it says © 2003

Edit: yeah.. weird I can see that it says march 8th 2004 on all copies for the release date.

Now that I think of it I think I bought it in 2004 as well. Why would it say 2003 on the album cover and on the disc?

Strange, it does say 2003 Warp Records on all the Ultravisitor releases.

PhilieT leaked it in 2003. That's why it says © 2003.

:cisfor:

Was that a user here on WATMM? I heard somewhere that chatmm was used back in the day for filesharing and there was some leak or something..

He was. Yes, that's a past tense. He had some good stories about the pusher back in the days. Supposedly he was part of the inner chav-clique and is into hiphop.

If the letters WTF are on your mind, no worries. Cherish that feeling, because that's normal.

He was also part of the ol' Clemsford Film Society collective and friends with the Jenkinsons. If you've never seen their videos before they're quite, erm, 'ambitious' with the script/acting/direction.

Ultravisitor was how I discovered Squarepusher.

I went to Warp Masters / London Sinfonietta gig at Warwick Arts Centre and purchased a copy of Ultravisitor on the way out after being blown to pieces by Tom's closing set. Jamie Lidell nailed it that evening too.

I still love this album - its the perfect combination of alien jazz noises and spaced out beats. I love the live recordings too.

Pusher's stuff has always been hit or miss, but Ultravisitor is easily my favorite album by him. Anyone who can make fun breaks is a winner in my book. I tend to get bored of breaks since the same methods and FX are over-used, but Ultravisitor is too fun and at times epic for me to care.
