Looking forward to trying Tomodachi Life with my nephew, he just got a 3DS XL and it's his favorite thing in the world.

Tomodachi should be a lot of fun. My Japanese 3DS happens to be the Tomodachi edition (the top one in the pic), I was stunned when I read it was actually being localised (It was hugely popular on the DS in Japan, but wasn't released elsewhere)

Damn nice collection!

Btw anyone who purchases a physical, digital, or the special edition Wii U set of Mario Kart 8 gets a free download of one of the following games:

(US choices)

New Super Mario Bros U

Wii U Party

Pikmin 3

Legend of Zelda Wind Waker HD

Europe has more options with 10 available free download titles

Looks like Nintendo is really praying for this game & Smash Bros to save them.

I beat both 10000000 on iOS and Mercenary Kings on PC today. What a way to end the month.

I have Mercenary Kings on PS4 - is it worth playing? I tried it and thought it was going to be a Metal Slug/Contra style run and gun, but it's more of a Metroidvania (urg) style game where you explore and backtrack...

The fact they have to sweeten the deal with Mario Kart 8 makes me think they are getting really desperate...

Iwata will be "reassigned" by next year.

I just read that as 'redesigned', lol

there is a growing rumor that Nintendo is about to announce some form of new hardware around or at E3. I am very intrigued and surprised by this, so by my account it can really be one of 5 things: a new Wii U, a new 3DS, a hybrid of the two, their Quality of Life platform, or none of the above. anyone else's guess?

It's going to be the QOL platform. I'd be happy if they announced a new Wii U, like the same system but ...better? Change the name to Wii 2. I don't know, I just want them to sell more systems and get some 3rd party support. Wii U is a great console and it's a shame that no one knows or cares about it.

fuckin weird man. its like half saw-esque torture porn movie, half fps that looks like quake 2 gameplay with modern graphics

it's starting to seem kind of (pretty fukin) weird/ridiculous that you can control a guy who takes hundreds of bullets which don't kill him

in these games

the physics and all that stuff are being made to be more and more realistic. but yet, you can take a hundred bullets to the head and as long as you pick up a 'healthpack' between each one, ur OK

Operation Flashpoint/Arma:Cold War is a nice nostalgia trip and proves to be just as or more challenging than originally. Must be losing my reflexes.

Overall I would recommend Merc Kings, but I also found it to be very time-consuming if you decide to take on every mission in the game. Took me about 37 hours actually.

I'd say it looks and plays like the NES Megaman games, but there are loads of missions, material-gathering, and weapon customization. But I certainly wouldn't expect an entire playthrough in one or two days.

As for the new Wolfenstein: TNO, it looks pretty intense. But I still have to wait a while on account of my old "I'm-too-poor-to-buy-a-better-PC" excuse. That series has come a hell of a long way since Castle Wolfenstein from 1981 tho.

That wouldn't make any sense. First of all, Nintendo isn't going to have a press conference at E3. They're doing their "Nintendo Direct" presentation, like they did last year, and like they've done the past 12 months every now and then. Second of all, they've got games coming out for Wii U and they've got exclusive games from third party developers coming out as well. Their 3DS is doing pretty well, and they released the 2DS last year, so I don' think they'll have anything to add to that area.

I don't even think they'll add any kind of peripheral to the Wii U, because how can they expect to make their money back on that when they can't even sell the console?

Always expect the unexpected with them. Companies that surprise me are one of my favorite things in life.

Edit: ok Nintendo UK just denied any new hardware configuration, which I still don't 100% believe, bc this is exactly what they pulled before the 3DS XL was revealed. We shall see...

Nintendo releasing anything hardware-wise that would affect 3DS/Wii U sales would be suicide - and honestly this QOL thing sounds like the boneheaded stuff Nintendo's been doing recently, so I wouldn't be surprised if they do announce it and nobody cares.

I don't see it happening. It would be such a foolish thing to try and attempt to fight along side Sony and Microsoft in the console war. Plus, imagine how butt fucked the current Wii U owners would feel if Nintendo a year and a half after they released the Wii U suddenly released a better version of the console... or a new console.

Nintenderp. They pretty much dominated the game industry in the late '80s thru early '90s, but all empires fall after they rise I reckon.

Being a huge Mario Kart fan, got to try the new Mario Kart GP Arcade DX machines today @ D&B and it was great! 1080p resolution, the brightest screens I've seen in an arcade, new weapons, new courses, huge screens and it's about a foot from your face. Def try it if you can find a cabinet, and 4 players to boot!

Dawn of War is probably my favourite RTS ever, it came out almost 10 years ago so I'm pretty sure you'd be able to run it. Red Alert 3 is another great one, if you're not a fan of the 40k universe and stuff.
