What Video Games Are You Currently Playing

Lumines requires you play in-time to the beat, the terminator follows the bpm of the track, but there's no way you could keep an eye on that when shit gets crazy without using your ears to stay in sync.

Being a big Lumines fan/player myself, I rarely play by the beat, and more by watching the line terminator to clear out huge swaths of cubes by setting up combos.
Yeah but when the skins get crazy later on & full motion video plays in the background, you can still concentrate on that little line at the top? More power to ya

Do you guys have any recommendations for music/audio based puzzle games? I'm looking for puzzle games specifically.

Frequency for the PS2, even features some MBM...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4RSp0dvOD8

I miss this game, I used to play the shit out of it..

They're re-releasing Frequency in HD for PS4 soon.

Seriously?! Oh fuck yeah, I hope they update it with some newer songs as well!

They're making a sequel to the sequel of frequency not re-releasing it?

There was a kickstarter for it and they raised hundreds of thousands of bucks and are making a full on sequel to amplitude...

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/harmonix/amplitude

Edit: or are they also releasing frequency in HD for ps4???

Also, Minecraft is available on PS4 for a discounted price if you have a save file for the PS3 version. Tree fiddy.

You lot may like this: I interviewed the filmmakers behind a new six-part documentary series about Japanese video-game music. The first part premieres today.

I have had this bookmarked, will watch soon.

If you're after some wider coverage, I can put you in touch with a friend of mine who runs an independent gaming site... they get some solid traffic so if you're after extra eyes on your interview and the project, feel free to drop me a PM.

I play a shit load of Dota 2. It's an amazing game that you can almost never master completely. I'm pretty skilled at it though. If anyone would like to ever play send me a message. I'm also down for attempting to boost MMR's if anyone is stuck in hell. I enjoy teaching people/coaching, and I also offer a lot of tips, tricks, and advice for newbies. I'm going to be starting to work on putting together helpful videos and things like that as well.

i would be interested in this, are you in europe? played a wee bit of it and it seemed great, the moment i tried to play a human i just got flattened.

my steam is nGpcock

I'm in US central, but can play on US East servers and possibly UK/West EU, but I've honestly never tried. It's a tough game and the only way to be good is to spend time playing and learning about it. Fun as shit though. I can't find your steam using that name. Is that your display name?

Now that XBONE has it (and frankly I'm surprised Sony didn't beat them to the punch on that as well), I'm sure Sony will follow suit shortly.

I forgot about Chime! One of my favourite Plaid tracks too: Tender Hooks - I like the Chime version even better than the album version!

Since I'm not going to get a ps4 for at least a few months I decided to get the Reaper of Souls expansion for xbox360. It's been a while since I played act5 of pc, and I've really been jonzing. Was planning on waiting until I had a ps4, but since that fell thru, I decided to treat myself. I have the weekend off and I bought some coffee. It's going to be a late night.

In order to get the ros expansion for xbox360 I had to pay $40 for the Ultimate Evil edition. Going to send my original d3 disc to a friend back home in Miami to take something optimistic away from having now purchased d3 for the 3rd time.

I have been replaying Zone of The Enders 2, but for the first time in HD on PS3. Damn, I love this game and the port is excellent (following the patch, of course).

Fallout 3.

It's been almost six years now since its release if I'm not mistaken. Every time I beat it and think I'll never play it again, I end up re-installing it and starting a new playthrough again a few months later anyway.

Well played, Bethesda.
