If you could pick a live track to receive the studio treatment...

For me, it would undoubtedly have to be the first 12-15 mins of the Quaristice set. But mainly the 10-12 mins segment, with the megasnare. So, yeah, you can go 15+ mins on this, "Sublimit" style if you wish ;)

Sure fuck it.

Pick 8 live tracks to make an album, names and all if you wish.

Or just the one.

;)

Is it wierd that I prefer this one despite the low quality?

...something about the acoustic content of the room maybe. The soundboard rip is too dry

Kneejerk Immediate jump to 'Metz track' in my head before I saw this was 'chre forum action. But then, I would kinda miss the occasional random french shouting...

MCR Quarter

YES OMG that track is so bangin'

it really is the shit. my favourite of the Quarters, even though it's so far out from the others in the timeline/development of their music. but who knows, maybe it was originally conceived during the Envane-ish period, the name seems to hint that.

makes you wonder: if Autechre are the best undiscovered music in the world, then their live stuff is like the best undiscovered-undiscovered music in the world, the creme de la creme. imagine how many Ae fans are missing out on the live sets. they keep such a tight lid on it and you only get bits and pieces here and there in the form of bootlegs or excerpts like MCR Quarter.

100% yes. Especially the bit from 3:15 - 4:25, I'd love hear that idea expanded into a full track. It's the part of the Glasgow set that makes me fly the highest.

And definitely the third part of the Glasgow set, I guess it's a combination of LCC and the end of Augmatic Disport. 10:30 - 16:15.

Although I really like the part leading up to the explosion around 23:30, it sounds fine as it is. That woody two pitch synth groaning in the back is perfect.

That badass second track from the '96 Flex set. Couldn't find a youtube video, but it runs about 28 to 44 minutes.

Although kinda studio as is, anyone know if there's a non-excerpt version of this:

video

I think it's cut from some generative patch, so it's something like 1-hour most likely, that's my version
