Been focusing on more minimal and atmospheric tunes featuring wonderful analog sounds from my DSI Tetra.

Thanks for taking the time to listen!

"moments of genius" lol! You make a man blush, glad you enjoy.

My current favorite is Slow Machines. When everything comes together around 1:40 it does me in.

Thanks for listening =)

How'd you get all those loose drilly sounds in the second half? I like those

Run some one hit samples through FX while recording output. Chop out cool bits. Make new beat w/ cool bits,.

Recent track I've been working on. Needs a few tweaks but it's coming along nicely.

i like this. it's got a nice beat and it is scatty and frenetic with decent melody. nice. some of the high pitched synth noises are a bit loud to my earat about 1:30.

How are you running your tetra? i just had to sell mine because i couldn't quite get it to work how i wanted it to....

I'm running my tetra thru a BCR-2000 via MIDI. The USB on the unit is flaky... I also have a M4L patch and template all laid out for complete control of the Tetra within Live so i have access to everything . I've been considering switching the BCR over to USB mode for flexibility w/in Live, but I've yet to do so as I feel like I had trouble w/ the USB on it when I first started this setup.

I touched up that track over the morning w/ some coffee. Pretty sure it's complete now =)

cool! are you able to send a lot of automation with the m4l patch? i was using the soundtower editor and it was far from perfect.... lovely sounding synth though.... i made a few bits with it. (placid is all tetra and xoxbox)

Yeah, the M4L patch gives me automation of everything in the Tetra. The BCR is for tactile control. I found the Soundtower editor lacking as many others have, plus I just had issues w/ the USB implementation working all the time.

I love the sounds you can get out of it, especially on the extreme ends of the filter. Add in a little feedback and you can get some interesting results, it's currently my only HW synth. Nice track there, following now.
