Baba Yaga’s Hut is very excited to be hosting a 3 night residency with Secret Chiefs 3.

Each night will feature a completely different set reflecting the different aspects of the SC3 sound and special collaborations.

Secret Chiefs 3 (or SC3) is an instrumental rock group led by guitarist/composer Trey Spruance (formerly of Mr. Bungle and Faith No More). Their studio recordings and tours have featured different line-ups, as the group performs a wide range of musical styles includingsurf rock, Persian, Arab, Indian, death metal, film music, electronic music, and various others.

Details about the performances from Trey:

A word about the gigs: Baba Yaga’s Hut presents three full nights of Secret Chiefs 3. September 9th and 10th will go in depth on satellite bands with two sets per night, four sets in all, divided up by the configurations Ishraqiyun + Forms on the 9th, and UR + SC3 plays John Zorn’s Masada ‘Xaphan on the 10th. No repeats of any material. The 11th will be a traditional single-set SC3 concert of material from satellite bands and beyond, with a few luminary guest musicians we’d have been rehearsing with during the days.
