Good and acid techno arent terms usually referenced in the same sentence

take, for example, the Liberators. What is this toss? Ketamine infused squat-juice?

Mindless 150/160bpm toss with the production ethos of "fuckin bang it mate" & "got any K?"

its only a shade behind happy hardcore in the most pointless musical genres ever created, except supplant glow sticks and sun hats for white boys w/dreadlocks, body odour issues and a venue that probably reeks of stale dog piss

as a squat party veteran, these are 1st hand witness statements that'd stand up in any court of lawl, not mere opinions ;)

then you might ponder some bits n bobs from some olde Notts heads, Mark Hawkins aka Spider & Esther Ofei. Mark has some gear out on labels like Djax-Up Beats, Neue Heimat & Uglyfunk......a pretty broad spectrum between just these two folks.....

Also, BWPT used to be a free-tekno/anarchist sound system based in Leicester. Well worth having a rummage to see if any of their old mixes are available online. Kinda took up the Spiral Tribe/Network 23/Czechtek mantle.....

edit - found and yes they still seem to be going:

although i will point out the track below as being particularly good, even though it's on SuF...one of the best acid techno tracks imo

No-one's questioning your right to roll around in dog shit. The internet is rife w/bizarre & perverted pleasures, but dont try and pass some of these sounds off as anything other than shit art. Eg: people also collect Schlager & appalling Country music, but by all means defend that guff too if you're bored & getting dirty is your thang

Nothing you or i do or say will ever stop folks with poor taste wasting their time sifting thru bin liners of olde rubbish, case in point.

The facts are that nothing in this thread even comes close to say Crispy Bacon by Laurent Garnier, ie: real music w/justifiable longevity:

re edit-2, thats not how archaeology "works" either, but maybe a mass species extinction WITH an inherent Shlager-bias instituted by Wally Whatshisface could happen yet
next time i go to Avebury i'm gonna look at things very very differently
