The original trilogy in its original form is coming out on bluray.

Is it official or are they just the same rumors that came out in the summer?

Apparently, someone didn't do their homework... (read the "updated"-line)

Shit gets recycled in this universe, literally.

Not if you don't accept the prequels as canon, to me there are only 3 films.

I was referring to droid parts, armor, etc. fucking get over the prequels people, they're just movies!

By the way, why on Earth is Luke's lightsabre in DVD release of the Star Wars: A New Hope non-Special Edition (the limited one) green?

Its not. I'm watching DVD non-special edition right now. Its whitish-blue.

...hence why they made it a "whitish-blue"

That's what I thought. Although I don't see why they wouldn't release a restored and good transfer of the original OT on bluray.

oooo, I was thinking the despecialised edition kicked their butts into gear and go ahead with the blurays. appears not, maybe later.

i wonder how Ben Burtt made those short circuit or circuits overloading sounds in the OG's.. theyd be good in music.

Which ones are you referring to?

it would be hard to pin down. id have to rip sections from the movie. anytime c3po is being worked on. or someone is trying to get the falcon fixed.. dunno. good circuit sounds

I'm so glad they decided to put more emphasis on practical effects and sets - perhaps Star Wars has the opportunity to shift the movie industry back towards that just like the original Star Wars set the bar for practical effects back when it premiered.

I see they keep adding cast members, but major filming is complete.? The Raid 2 stunt trio are now cast members, as is another unknown. I hope JJ doesn't CG in some extra action scenes, like the droid factory sequence, which was green screened to death!

They can't really film @ Pinewood anymore, that's set up for Spectre now. Maybe a backlot shoot? *Cringe*

There's speculation they might be for mo-cap on some of the CGI characters (after all, there IS a limit to practical effects).
