On the first listen welcomed the return of funky and glitchy elements that I liked from pre-Iradelphic Clark releases, even though it was noticeably more subtle. During subsequent listens I started to notice I didn't like the sequencing. Some songs transition well from one to the next, some don't at all. Or maybe it's not the transitions, but the mood between songs just doesn't really evolve in any particular way. I kind of feel my enjoyment of the album would be the same no matter what order the songs were in. With my latest listen, I just felt rather bored due to a combination of the things I mentioned - the clarky bits are too subtle and the album sequencing doesn't excite me. The alt version of Winter Linn, re-furla, and new tune shall i wait that he played on the benji b mix are so nice. It'd make for a great follow up ep.
