LFO for Christmas Number One

Damo

Recommended Posts

Hi

I just wanted to draw people's attention to a very laudable campaign which is gaining traction.

From the facebook page:

Let's get 'LFO' by LFO to the Christmas Number One spot as a tribute to Mark Bell who sadly passed away in October. A true pioneer of the hypnotic groove.

The facebook page is here https://www.facebook.com/lfoxmas/info and is currently at 5,882 likes. Apologies if there is another thread for this, please let me know and I'll delete this one.

I really like this idea the more i think about it.

Are facebook likes taken into consideration nowadays in the charts?

May as well be for all the relevance they carry these days

This is a nice sentiment, but knowing the generally moronic nature of the great british public, the Christmas Number One™ will be whatever cover version the latest X-Factor chud muppet can sick up, or a 90s one-hit wonder. Or both.

Yeah I'm going to try stay positive on this one, I'm in Ireland myself and I'm not really sure how the online chart is determined say from itune's sales. perhaps it will chart in Ireland too, all things going well, who knows?

Up, the campaign really started on monday because it's this week's sales who will count towards the Xmas Charts in UK.

They're making it pretty good, LFO is the 6th most downloaded track on Bleep etc. but they're not in the mid-week charts yet.

Spread the world and make it happen WATMM pls
