A DAW is a pretty big piece of software, so I think it weighs heavily on that remaining 1%. I estimate about 99% of the code in fact. so that means .1% is plugins, and this is an absolute fact (i think.) here's the breakdown of equipment on the Grammy winning album Syro: Hardware -------------- 99% Software (DAW) ------ .99% Software (Plugin) ----- .1% It is safe to say, that since we are dealing with only one percent of a percent of software, that this is only one plugin.
