Syro's 'Various Plugins'

Recommended Posts

Wait for a sale! I got it for $100 a few years back.

As for other ones, I actually do keep coming back to mda plugins. They're simple but sound pretty decent.

Oh, and Magnus' (Smartelectronix I think) Ambience reverb is super lush.

Aphex Twin said that 99% was hardware. This led me to deduce that the remaining 1% was software. A DAW is a pretty big piece of software, so I think it weighs heavily on that remaining 1%. I estimate about 99% of the code in fact. so that means .1% is plugins, and this is an absolute fact (i think.)

here's the breakdown of equipment on the Grammy winning album Syro:

Hardware -------------- 99%

Software (DAW) ------ .99%

Software (Plugin) ----- .1%

It is safe to say, that since we are dealing with only one percent of a percent of software, that this is only one plugin.

And we do know of only one plugin that Aphex Twin has volunteered, and that is DMG Equilibrium.

Hope this helps!

Skibby, your numbers are way off.

There were a few plugins used but hardly anything and not worth mentioning really, it is 99.9% hardware not that it matters just sayin.

Bitspeek also got a namedrop in the Syrobonkers interview.

the best answer is currently as follows.

99.9 percent hardware

.1 percent software

.09 percent DAW

.005 percent bitspeek vst

.005 percent DMG Equilibrium
