What would run on a Powerbook g4 15" ?

Recommended Posts

I have an older powerbook that I have OSX I think tiger on it

Plus Ableton running pretty stable

but what else would work on it?

I have Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6 on my other macbook

but I dont think it would work with this machine ?

Anyone have this machine that they are running audio programs on?

you could do

pro tools 7

digital performer 5

logic 6 (i think)

i had a version of max/msp on my powerbook before it got stolen.

you would need older ppc versions of any native instruments stuff, or other plugins/vi's.

Hmm thanks guys but I would not really need to run any DAWs like that on it. I run Pro Tools on my main Mac for that. This thing was free and my main use for it was gonna be for performance. I'm happy using Live on it but it does run a little slow. I would love to use my I/O box with it but come to think of it I could make all my samples on my other macbook in live and just run the sessions off a drive on this Mac

I would love to get rebirth to work on this Mac too

Are there any cool low CPU power trackers I could us on this old machine ?

I'm already running nanoloop and lsdj
