Yep mine just arrived! So yeah the 3" CD, well a fair few people are gonna be disappointed. Very similar drones, the first track is the only one where anything much happens, but yeah, all beatless strange ambience. I didnt want to believe it till I heard it myself but it was inevitable with the title Vacuum Tracks wasn't it. I'm listening to the Vacuum tracks now and they're really doing my head in. I like the first one, more so than Vacuum Garden, but thats not too hard considering it's got a fair bit more going on. I suppose if these tracks were made with a vacuum cleaner they might be impressive, mmm. I'm probably missing something, perhaps if some …

a john peel tribute night, john peel discovered joy division, do you think a bbc electric proms programme might have love will tear us apart as title music? imagine all those swaying raconteurs fans. Im going to this gig and now i read tom is doing some noodling on lauren lavernes' culture show, i think maybe a bass set would fit in better with the other bands. I wonder will he even showcase his new material. Maybe a set of guitar orientated tunes off the last couple of albums. Still i suppose terra sync and circlewave 2 would be nice, in fact that might just be lovely. But seriously i need advise because although i could quite easily enjoy squarepusher in f…

glastonbury 2005

even though i was sober (and next to the bar, i might add) i can't remember half of the glastonbury 2005 set, i know there was beep street, E8 boogie, come on my selector and tetra-sync, thats it! but please, SOMEone tell me what else he played, and if possible the order. see if i can re-live it before going to see him at london on the john peel night, yum! p.s. i have his new album on promo, and i can tell you now, he hasn't lost it. a track may sound weak at first, but each one kicks in fat, or has something special and to me, its all of his styles, summed up with new material. prepare yourselves

its like 38 minutes into the set.. its this growling synth with drums.. it stops and plays that '1... 2... drums, 2, 3, 4' sample, then comes back in. i wanna know the name of the growly synth track, and the artist of course.. thanks!

Yeah, so anyone know what it is? I'm curious like a dead cat. His Roland SH-101 is very prominent on the album, (as pictured on Bleep for the download of Welcome To Europe) but what type of synth is it on the front cover of the album? Cheers y'all...

Cripes! i just read on the net about a jimi hendrix tribute gig performed by squarepusher, supposedly on june 26th 2005. guys, i NEED to have this! i tried a forum search here for hendrix and found a link, but alas, the link is broken. does anyone of you have a bootleg of this? i just read about hello everything being released with a bonus cd, any idea what's going to be on it? maybe, hopefully, it will feature said performance. anyway, whatever you can tell me about it, it' ll be appreciated.

Not what I was hoping for, dunno what I was hoping for but this was not it! The Tide could be interesting but I fear not and I guess the same is true for Conc 2 Symmetriac. Spose I wanted some orchestral acid or something? 10 drummers working their socks off trying to play Vic Acid or some such nonsense. Tracklisting here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Warp-Works-20th-Ce...5266050?ie=UTF8 Perhaps I was expecting a tad too much. Watchoo reckon? Obviously They don't just cover tracks by Squarepusher but I was particularly interested in those ones.

According to this old mailing list post Squarepusher was at once time slated to perform at one of Skam's Versivo nights in Manchester. Is there any evidence on whether this actually happened?

Yep.. like this end track a lot and it tickles by ambient itch the way squarepusher is well able to do and should do more of. I like the rest a lot too...... noice!

remember that diatribe jenkinson had on musicians collaborating with instruments? maybe i missed the point of it, but isnt the way the drums on hello everything never venture outside their initial quantization (for examples of this, see every other squarepusher release ever, or maybe just the body builder)? I mean, I think this whole "these beats are the bar graph for the melodies AND THE BARS ARE ALWAYS THE SAME" attitude is kind of relinquishing too much to the machines.
