I discovered this artist during lockdown. His style is pretty esoteric and haunting. Of his output so far, my favourite is Komori (from back in 2020). Anyway, his new album is equally enthralling if you like drone, field recordings and so forth. M-3 with it's undulating, mantra-like instrumentation, is nothing less than stunning; from Tibetan-style prayer chants to Eastern Orthodox choral scales, reminds me of Popol Vuh's 'sei still, wisse ich bin'. https://hallowground.bandcamp.com/album/fuji-ta-mmm

We Are The Music Makers | Volume One by Various Hi everyone. My first full length album, Territoriality is out now. Hope you enjoy it. Cheers! Building where he left off with the cyberpunk aesthetic of last year’s Ascension, Caged Element (Paul Bolstridge of Pirtek and Concealed Sequence), takes us along for another installment of moody techno with Territoriality. Where the former felt more like a trip aboard a spacecraft depicted on its artwork, this new outing offers a patchwork of cinematic vignettes in a city which could plausibly feel either extraterrestrial or like a bleak chapter of Earth’s history. “Monumental Axis” continues to build on the …

We Are The Music Makers | Volume One by Various Dark, aggressive, distortion-supersaw-glitch-infused cinematic ambient. Highly recommended, heard this in full from a release listening stream on Bandcamp.

A new single, Mercy, dropped today along with the announcement that an album is coming on May 31st which will apparently contain Muder One & Invasion as well, meaning that it likely is more of a compilation of unreleased material (as those two pieces, released in early 2022, were recorded 15-to-20 years apart). Mercy is maybe a little less adventuresome from an electronic music perspective than most of Vega's later work, and it's unclear when it's from precisely. I'm guessing mid 90s based on the vocal styling, but we'll see.

the SC account description says: "SOME BANDCAMP EPS SOON more vinyl soon" the SC album description says: "serious idm nonsense from the woman like mrs mangel. shout out to jane and bouncer. hold tight erinsborough. EP release date: 31 October 2019" I seached for the EP title and didn't find anything so I'm guessing it will be a BC digital release, at least initially. maybe someone here will have more info... hype

Boomkat's album of the week is not usually mine but last week it was. Heavy sub-bass tectonic abstract dub with a lot of gauzy textures. Listen on something with real low end. As good as anything on West Mineral. Cover art is funny too. https://boomkat.com/products/bongboat

The Palace Guard Loop - No Drums (bonus) London producer Kel McKeown celebrates the release of his tenth album as Kelpe, with a vinyl edition of uncategorisable dance music on Kit Records. Kelpe's work combines live drumming with synthesis and guitars. Like the nine records that came before it, LP10 treads the line between gauzy melancholia and bustling, dancefloor-ready energy. Listening to Kelpe's music can feel like fluttering through a photo …

Absolutely lovely stuff. Gives me like an early Mush Records mixed with DNTEL and Thom Yorke vibe. Had to preorder the vinyl for myself - the first two singles are way too good not to support. Tracklist: 1. Light 2. Closer 3. Grow 4. September 5. Time 6. Koala 7. Sun 8. Game 9. Air 10. Floating Bandcamp: https://mariachiaramusic.bandcamp.com/album/closer

https://opn.warp.net/ His tenth album is in part “a speculative autobiography,” a transmission, a spellbound backwash of digital languages and sonic paranoias, what’s remembered and what’s forgotten, all presented in @eccopn’s trademark melodic touch. ‘Again’ Oneohtrix Point Never [WARP365] 01.
