Just found about this new installation of music for keyboards by d'Eon. I'm just listening now. d'Eon - Music For Keyboards IV https://soundcloud.com/hipposintanks/sets/deon-music-for-keyboards-iv-1 I really like this stuff. It's like medieval music made with general midi.

Finally after months of repeat listening late at night on my player the pre-orders for the wonderful new album by Tim Dwyer aka Off Land is here! Off Land was formed in 2004 by Tim Dwyer, an artist and musician from New England whose sound was originally shaped by "net" label culture's collaborative atmosphere of experimentation and peer feedback. The music on 'Tidewater Pulse' his debut album, has been influenced by meditative music such as Javanese gamelan and minimal drone. Dwyer's music is sparse yet texturally intricate, lying in some sort of electro-acoustic limbo between Namlook's more dusty ambient collaborations, literal Phonography and contemporary classica…

Traag - White Wall EP

http://boomkat.com/downloads/772234-traag-white-wall-ep I wonder nobody has mentioned this great EP. The title track is something I heard very seldom in music, transposing a full slab of dubby delirism. The remixes are excellent additions plus one bonus cut. On Opal he made a full debut which is worth to be checked out. Mastered by Nate Young, I may add.

"With credits ranging from the Moritz Von Oswald Trio to the ambient group Sun Electric and his NSI collaboration with Freund (with whom he shares a studio), Loderbauer isn't new on the scene. Up until now, though, he's always appeared alongside other producers. It's not surprising, then, that the label describes the album as especially personal, with Loderbauer bringing the sound of many of his other projects into one cohesive work. Transparenz was improvised entirely on hardware—his Buchla and Eurorack modular synths figure prominently—without the aid of a computer or multitrack recorder. Hard Wax, who handles distribution for Non Standard Productions, has the vinyl dou…

So, I've never been a big Odd Future fan, but I've always thought of Earl as the one with clear talent of the bunch and have kept my eye on him a little. His new upcoming full length seems it could actually be really good. Seems he's matured and will be dropping the OF shock-rap tactics, and displaying some real content. Also seems to have some pretty strong collaborators, including Samiyam, Thundercat, The Neptunes, The Alchemist... also rumors FlyLo will produce some of the tracks, and I've heard RZA lent a verse to it as well. I hope Earl blows up and leaves Tyler in the dust...

http://bandcamp.com/EmbeddedPlayer/album=2854532708/size=medium/ Do I need to introduce Sensational? Sensational is truly one of a kind, in famous and precise WordSound characterization, that kind of person to hip-hop who was Lee Scratch Perry to dub or Sun Ra to jazz. Long story short, it's no exaggeration. For many years since his self-produced supernatural debut Loaded With Power he was homeless and lived on the streets of Brooklyn, so his albums were sporadic and produced by collaborators. A couple of years ago he returned with his own productions, releasing an album once in a while on bandcamp since. This new one is a bomb, if you can get past amateurish…

Ye so theres often a shit ton of track that get released but they're probably not worth a whole thread. If they're EPs or Single or such. Post tracks released in August that are worth a spin.

Very unusual rap artist & producer with DIY aesthetics all-around. That's his third album, all self-released, despite interest from major publishers (wouldn't call names not to scare watmm's crowd). All his life he lives in Brownsville, NY, a tough place. First went on a radar in early 1990s, then kept it quiet for almost 20 years. He developed interesting style both in rapping and beats. Beats aren't really standard hip-hop beats, more like floating samples with a distinct old-school vibe, yet too minimal and not punching enough to be of any recognisable style. Then his rhymes are pretty intricate, and he doesn't go over some kind of loud whispering, he just…

I was a big fan of Elite Gymnastics' Ruin and the group's work in general, recently they split up and James formed his own moniker. It's an enjoyable EP, one that unfortunately has become a shitstorm of mostly bullshit music journalism coverage (most of which is linked to in this review, which is the only sensible review of the EP I've read) in the last week, exacerbated by the fact that he's had to change his alias from Dead Girlfriends to Default Genders simultaneously, and apparently this band is still pissed about it. I figure some of you might like it, especially anyone who really enjoys Baths, who I think is similar in sound and his focus on personal lyrics.…
