Brilliant release! Some of it reminds me of Burials beatless tracks. Heres what boomkat says Well, this could very well be our favourite record on the PAN label yet. It has a concept so brilliant and simple we can't quite believe it hasn't been done before, taking the burning embers, breakdowns and ambient interludes off classic Jungle mixtapes and re-assembling them into a ghostly ambient-not-ambient mix that's at once hugely nostalgic and totally forward thinking - so so good* 'Diversions 1994-1996' is Lee Gamble's chimeric recollection of jungle's golden era. Using samples sourced solely from his cache of jungle mixtapes accrued as a raving teenager, Gamble c…

I released this album over a year ago, but up until now I was just selling it at my band's shows. Here it is finally for the internet to consume: http://solipsisband.bandcamp.com/album/twilight-horizon When I recorded it I didn't have a band, so it's just me tackling all the instruments with the exception of drums on a few songs, played by my friend Jud MacKay. I'm a bit apprehensive about promoting it at this point simply because it's not the album I would make now, but for what it is I think it's pretty solid. I still really like a few of the songs/recordings, particularly Twilight Horizon, Along the Way, Follow Forever, and Under a Frozen Sun.

Picked this up about a month ago and listen to it at least 2-3 times a week. Those of you who like Kid Koala type stuff, this album is great. It's quite a bit different than most of anything from the 40 Winks duo.... a bit more abstract and intricate. http://projectmooncircle.bandcamp.com/album/retrospect-suite

Tettix has a new album out, a concept where it's a "video game you'll never be able to play", creating "screen shots" to accompany each track on the album. I've liked his other works, notably his "Finest Designs" LP. Good stuff! It's free to download, and donations are appreciated. http://www.tettix.net/albums/solace.html

Tomahawk - Oddfellows January 29, 2013 "Alterna-metal insitution Tomahawk is returning early next year with Oddfellows, their long-awaited fourth album and first in six years. The supergroup (that's Faith No More barkjaculator Mike Patton, Jesus Lizard aggy-twanger Duane Denison, and Battles drummer John Stainer) have replaced bassist Kevin Rutmanis with the mighty Fantômas/Bungle/Madlove bassist Trevor Dunn, who has been dutifully blogging for us while hitting on the road on Melvins Lite's record breaking 51 States in 51 Days Tour. Oddfellows is easily Tomahawk's most diverse to date: There's groany, smoky, Morricone-jazz; there's twisty AmRep-gone-R&B bludgeon;…

If we're all lucky enough to survive the coming Mayan apocalypse, we can look forward to listening Chaz Bundick's 4th album on January 22nd next year, when it will be released on Carpark records. It sounds as if the album might a bit of a departure for him. You can read a small interview about it here: http://www.interviewmagazine.com/music/toro-y-moi/#_ You can also hear one of the tracks from the album, 'So Many Details', on his blog: http://toroymoi.blogspot.co.uk/2012/10/listen-to-so-many-details-from.html?m=1
