c/p from emego: 2 tracks: Nachts: Schnee Mika Vainio Remix Aguirre I Haswell & Hecker Remix Cut by Rashad Becker @ Dubplates & Mastering, Berlin December 2007 Popol Vuh’s soundtrack work for the films of Werner Herzog in 1970’s and 1980’s are some of the most stunning in the field. Editions Mego is pleased to present 2 re-workings of classic Vuh tracks. Mika Vainio takes ‘Nachts: Schnee’ from the 1987 soundtrack ‘Cobra Verde’, and delivers a skillfully constructed ambient piece of beauty, which shifts and turns over 10 minutes. Haswell & Hecker turn the majestic ‘Aguirre I’ from the 1972 soundtrack ‘Aguirre - The Wrath Of God’ into possib…

This guy could be one to watch. First album was a pretty ridiculous homage to SAWII, but this one is worth considerable attention. Long time since I've been this engaged by a straight-up electronica record (whatever that is).

I've been waiting for this album to finally be released for ages. I ran a search and it's now listed on Mush records website (you can listen to a track from the album, The Infinite Orphan, By The Familiars - Click Me), though there's no definite release date as of yet. The spiel on the album is thus: Satisfyingly schizophrenic, Clue To Kalo’s third full-length release Lily Perdida is ten voices in one, all of them a different branch off the same electric folk tree. Amidst jangly guitar, mod ribbons of flute, and the voices of mastermind Mark Mitchell and duet partner Ellen Carey, ten musical perspectives on fictional character Lily Perdida emerge, each song from…

Hello hello dear watmmers, I just managed to grab a promo copy of the Notwist's upcoming album, and it really sounds great so far, as long as you like Markus Acher's angelic voice... The production is great, and the single "Where in this world" is just beautiful... Check their website for the tour dates and look (and hear) the video....

Format: Digital (promo single) Release Date: 28th April 2008 Distribution: Cargo Catalogue No: HERB004 ‘Tempertantrum (11.36am)’ is the long awaited and hotly anticipated new single from Scottish electronica genius, Alan McNeill, AKA Engine7. An incendiary slice of modern electronics and lush instrumentation, full of dark atmosphere and frenetic emotions, the single acts as a stirring introduction to his forthcoming album ‘Me, But Perfect’, due out in late May this year. Tempertantrum (11.36am) is backed by the stirring, emotive wonder that is ‘Sunrise Catalonia (7.14am)’, the most perfect slice of post-Ibiza haze that you’ll ever hear this side of a…

Whole Story http://brainwashed.com/index.php?option=co...6&Itemid=64 lil brief: there was a collector's vinyl edition boxset of Age Of Naples incl. this 6-track LP released a month ago. http://www.importantrecords.com/releases/i...elease_page.htm it said that tracks on the new LP are from 1996 (unreleased album) were remixed in 2007. the main thing copy-pasted: If you haven't dropped the $80.00 US to get the vinyl box set on which this is included, do not despair. It is a forgone conclusion that this will be released on CD, probably sooner than later, and a little bird tells me that when it is released digitally it will contain three more tr…

did a search but couldnt find anything on this. have a feeling i might be late.. from boomkat. link "Now then. Skam are seriously heading back to classic territory here, both in terms of sound and concept. What you need to know is as follows : this monster 2-tracker has been delivered by an artist who wishes to remain anonymous, pressed up on completely blank vinyl inside a completely blank sleeve - only the vinyl inscription, blank tracing paper insert and braille sticker on the cover give you some suggestion that this is another in a long and impossible to obtain line of Skam titles released under cover of annonimity with no fuss, no promotion and not eve…

JDSY - Adage Of Known
by Guest Valued Customer- 1 reply

We are proud to announce the release of JDSY’s first full length “Adage of Known” which is available exclusively now on iTunes thru Ghostly International and Moodgadget Records. LISTEN TO THE ALBUM HERE Adage of Known plays like a game of sonic Exquisite Corpse. The Dada art movement's parlor game, where drawn or written ideas were passed between artists and continued by the next. The result was a work that was of many minds, but flowed with a unique and subconscious energy. For his debut album Joey Sims is all sides of the event, both judge and jury, reader and repeater. His voice becomes an almost effortless object, its as if Joey is talking to himself across …

The new album by Schengen (MakeMineMusic) came out on the 17th March. Only 100 copies were pressed so don't know if many are left. "10 tracks of atmospheric electronics ... 'Fendered' is playful electro taking in snippets of Thieves Like Us era New Order with light techno touches. 'Duc' is aquatic, motorik electro. Some parts glide & glow with positive radiance. Really earthy & pretty, fluid textures, skittering beats, hypnotic Orbital-esque piano loops, digital bursts of fuzz....the list goes on. This is a quality release, an eclectic collection of moods... Limited to 100 numbered copies so be quick! This is pretty damn cool!" Norman Records Ava…

this has been out for several months, but is just now starting to get the recognition it deserves. one of the best synth rock albums in years, on par with the Neon Neon album, but with vocals more akin to The Cars.

CoH + Cosey Fanni Tutti

Holy shit, can't emphasize enough how good this is. I mean, I've heard cut up voice albums before, but this one takes the cake. If you've heard the most recent AGF album, "Words Are Missing", think of that, but 10x darker and more microedited, and even more German sounding. Fans of pretty straight up industrial stuff will love this too. I'm buying this as soon as it's available from a US distro. Also, Cosey and Sasha Gray are myspace bff, lol.
