The YLC is starting to look like a fucking wasteland, guys. There are so many threads being created all the time and so many of these threads never get any replies. It's wonderful that so many people want to share their creations but it would be even more wonderful if you guys would consider the following before posting: - Are you not getting any replies? Well, before posting a new thread you should maybe comment on some other people's music. Rule of thumb, comment on at least 10 tracks before posting your own. Have you done this? No? Well, get going, buddy. There are +300 pages of music in the YLC. - Is your feedback/comments worth reading? Are you giving sound advice …

by using the "media" button (the last icon that looks like three pictures in the editor), you can now post external links to your MP3s that will play in a mini media player - Blicero's great Mp3 player got zapped by the board upgrade, and until we decide what to do with it (bring it back or keep this one), please use this one as an alternate option. Anybody have opinions either way on either player, preferences, etc.? You can also type out {media}http://www.yoursite.com/yoursong.mp3{/media} (replace the curly brackets for the square ones) manually as well.

Just a heads up... Soundcloud has started removing unofficial remixes and giving warnings to people who have uploaded these remixes. It's three strikes and you're out. o_O

Hello, i just recently finished a track that seems to be heavily influenced by much of the music i saw Aphex Twin play at Day for Night in Houston. The strongest examples i could give would be Jlin, Qebrus and Sd Laika. I hope you guys enjoy! https://soundcloud.com/dollarstore-keyboard/cult-45

A little project I've been working on in between writing my own stuff. I've always been fascinated with SAW 85-92 and how it was created, as there's not a whole lot of info about it on the internet. I thought it would be a fun challenge to try to recreate some of the tracks to maybe find out myself, through trial an error, how some of it was made.

Quick links for just getting the good stuff without reading the thread: 2020 weekly: (also on weeklybeats: https://weeklybeats.com/music?s=thawkins&f=8&y=2020&r=3574) 2019 weekly: https://streak.club/u/thawkins 2018 weekly: https://weeklybeats.com/music?s=thawkins&f=8&y=2018&r=3574 --------------- I have managed to be on the weekly music train for a year and a half now and it's been really nice for generating ideas and keeping myself active musically even through turbulent real life times. Even though it's been good, recently I am feeling that my mixes and song structure needs a lot of improvement, so I figured if…

I tried something else with this track. Instead of making a arp out of everything I used more layers of melodies. I also tried to create a more variated kind of track

Hi everyone, after years of procrastination and a steady diet of musical consumption I've recently taken up music production in the last few months and feel that I've learned enough to start asking for some feedback and sharing my songs / noodlings with you all. I've got a few tracks I'm working on tidying up and putting the finishing touches on and I'll share those when they're ready, but I thought I'd use this thread to dump my noodles and musical experiments for some community feedback to help me hone my craft. So, please... tell me how you really feel 😂. I've always been interested in modular synthesis, but I don't have a boatload of money and or a modular rig (alt…

I've had some additional time on my hands lately, so I wanted to challenge myself to finish a track a week. I'm 4 weeks in now, so it sounds like a good time to share some to help keep me motivated. I'll post additional tracks here for as long as I keep this up. For now, here are the latest weekly shares: Week 1: Week 2: Week 3: Week 4:

Hi all, here's a brand new release by Where Orchids Goes to Die https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vDRiuqkAdbk "This song narrates the story of Mogoro’s Maidens based on a traditional local tale. Every night, in procession, dressed in white, they pass through the street, which begins with the main church to arrive at “Su Cramu”. Detached from the others, there is a solitary maiden with wet hair. Along the path, she stops to speak to an old lady, sitting outside her home to get some fresh air during a hot summer night. She asks the old lady to tell her mother to stop crying for her death: her tears wet the maiden, making her heavy, holding her from reaching h…

I'll post music here for my tsrono releases. In most or all cases this will be finished products, except for mastering, and so I'm not looking for help with direction of the songs or things like that, but I'll be welcoming any general comments you have. I'm particularly interested in feedback on production quality and suggestions based on that. Thanks for listening if you do! So here's some stuff from a new ep: You can download the entire reins ep over at bandcamp: http://tsrono.bandcamp.com I've also put up the ep over on last.fm: http://www.last.fm/music/tsrono

Hi, this is my first post in this forum. Under the name of Genox Project, "The Starship of ten thousand years" is the last musical demo in which I hope to work before devoting my free time to writing. It is, and that is why it is not surprising, a project linked to the cinema and science fiction literature, which tells a story, which I will also develop in the form of different science fiction stories, one for each theme of the album. The musical themes will be linked, and I will upload them here as I do them, more regularly starting in January next year."Approach" puts music to a story that deals with the sudden appearance of a starship of unknown origin in the solar sy…

I've finally released my debut single after years of doubt, insecurity, anxious preoccupation and procrastination. This is an absolute labor of love. I would be honoured if any of you would take the time listen. Thank you for the years of Gen Ban.

yes it's far too noisy at the start. the audio is going straight from the interface into the camera. also it would have been good if the guitar fretboard was visible in the first part of the video. had a lot of fun doing this. any thoughts?
