Hey there lovely Vibert forum world - While looking through Discogs, I noticed that Luke released a lot of Plug tracks on various compilations that I would love to hear. I'm thinking of: Wide World Snapping Fuss (Though apparentely this is the same as Natural Suction, right?) Dark Matter Keep On Going Keen As Mustard Argos A Subtle Blend High on the Vine Header Any help?

http://www.brainwashed.com/vibert/discog/bigsoup.htm Who has heard these? Are they good? Big Soup is my favorite Vibert release, but I am vinyl-less so I got curious.

how vibert's sampling provides regular brainfarts

a couple times now, i've been watching a movie, listening to the radio, and i've heard a sample he used in one of his tracks. except, it takes a moment to register -- my brain says, I'VE HEARD THIS BEFORE -- but it takes me a minute or two to figure out from where, and that minute feels pretty weird. i see other people posting threads with similar experiences. how about it, eh?

i'm not sure if you all already know this, but in a lot of songs by luke vibert, he uses drum samples from the Vibris Classic Breaks. http://www.sampleswap.org/filebrowser-new....ASSIC+BREAKS%2F i remember tracks on lover's acid using some of these.

Listening to it first time at this moment - I really dig this! Spacing out on the great vibe wave. Now I can't wait to hear the Rhythm EPs... Anyone know of a good place to download them?

I was at the dentist today, and all of a sudden this '60s pop-type song comes on, and I recognize it at being the source of the sample used in "Cut ('97 Plug Remix)" - The one that starts at like 2:45. But now it's driving me crazy not knowing what song it was. Anyone know?

A friend of mine who made this hiking video called 'Overexposed'. It's about a walk on Bleaklow in the UK Peak District and a visit to an air crash site exploring wreckage of a B29 Bomber called 'Overexposed' which crashed 60 years ago in 1948. http://www.vimeo.com/1709077 And they have entered it into a competition run by TRAIL magazine to win a trip to Everest Base Camp. The trip is a chance of a lifetime, the lad who made the video has been selected as one of five finalists. The only problem is the soundtrack needs copyright clearance. The track used is 'Rare Peel' from the Vibert/Simmonds album 'Rodulate' on Rephlex. If permission can't be gained to use this…

anyone know what the name of the song that he samples at the very end of Swet on Chicago, Detroit, Redruth? goes something like "let's creep away from the day, and allow me to say, goodbye"...it's so nice but irritating because I have heard this before but can't remember where. I'm thinking maybe a film. anyone

Are SOO good. Drum 'n' Bass for Papa just doesn't do it for me like the EPs do. I still have to hear Cheesy (Pic 'n' Mix), though. I've always wondered what it sounded like.

Shouldn't there be tracks 7 and 9 in Studio Sessions 1, and track 8 in Studio Sessions 2?

Read it while I was having coffee at a bookstore, didn't elect to buy it because it's just a rehash of older articles really. News: Luke still uses Reason, sampled bits of SH-101 and TB-303 and SH-1000 for most synth stuff. He has two broken Italian JEN synths (they sound a lot like Minimoog's anyway). Says most of the material he has for synth stuff are off of a few hour long tape sessions he did with the Roland gear and he just cuts up bits and sequences them in Reason. Says he uses Reason because he tried Cubase but found he just spent all day twiddling with plugins not being able to decide what sounded best so he went "ok, thats it, no plugins for me". Came off very e…

a very lush wagon christ mix, from this album -> http://www.discogs.com/release/103252 doesn't have much to do with the original, so its basically a wagon christ track listen to it if you haven't heard it already

you see, when i first got into electronic music and experimental electronic music i would listen to an album and then burn it to catalogue it after 1 or 2 listens. at the time i did this because i was trying to culture myself in this new form of music and learn... i literally have 100's of burnt cds. so yeah, i guess i listened to throbbing pouch before i really sat down and realized vibert's brilliance for what it is. i got it again a number of days ago and burnt it to my mp3 player... i can see how it was overlooked but now i can say, this is truly great stuff. like big soup but more raw. maybe less funky and more breaky, but still very chilled and subdued., i love i…

It was a pretty upbeat song with the occasional vocal "get funky, get down" Not a lot of info, but I figure the vocal part should narrow it down pretty fast for someone who knows it I don't remember where I heard it, as the song isn't on anything of his that I have =\ Thanks

DJ FOOD - Turtle Soup Remix

I love this tune, super emotional in some parts. And the synth break down in the middle is ubber brilliant. Funny how his remixing style lends itself so well to DJ FOOD, seeing as they're very similar artists in a lot of ways(DJ FOOD post Cold Cut)
