This song has such a fantastic motion to it. The opening has this lovely slow build... and that bass n guitar thing is just fucking catchy.

Really been enjoying this set. There are some tunes in here that I must know, so I thought I'd sort of map out a partial tracklisting and see if we could all contribute to get it complete. All help appreciated!!! Here's a link to the file first of all if you don't have it already: Right Click, Save As Here's what I thew together for a tracklist....I used some of the info in the other thread and knew a few popular tracks myself. I put ?? where I guessed as to what it was or put descriptive info: 1) Luke Vibert - I Love Acid 2) Mr. Fingers - Can You Feel It 3) Luke Vibert - Acid2000 4) Edwards & Armani - Acid Drill 5) 6) ??Kerrier District?? 7) 8…

It seems like he's usually grouped in with Aphex Twin, Squarepusher etc. since he knows them and has released records on Warp and Rephlex. But I don't think he sounds much like them. To me, the Wagon Christ stuff is comparable to other Ninjatune artists like Mr. Scruff and early Fink and whatnot, and other '90s stuff, like some of Howie B's stuff. Kerrier District obviously sounds a lot like Metro Area and Daniel Wang and stuff like that. Plug doesn't sound much like anything else - I wish there was more drum 'n bass out there like it. Same with his acid stuff. Anyway - who would you compare his music to?

The other day I loaded this album for the first time onto my MP3 player and had the window sitting open while I was busy helping a client. My boss wandered over to the PC to pretend he knows how to use it and saw the titles and must have been curious because he opened them thinking they were movies. He opened 1 shot killer pussy first, big surprise I know! So he calls me over wondering what they are, or rather why there is a lack of sagging tits and the ever ubiquitous 1 shot killer pussy. So I do my best to explain what it is, what an amen break is, what etc, before giving up because its all over his head anyways. So he starts poking about the tracks - still…

Words fail me. Why weren't these tunes released back in 95?! It's my favourite vibert release, and i'm a man who loves me vibert. It's my favourite jungle rekkid, and i'm a man who loves me jungle. It's my favourite everything, and i'm a man.

is it not quite strange that this album was released 11 years ago, yet is easily the most coherent and perfectly formed music hes written. every tune works ingeniously, workin well more like classical music, building up to climax points within each piece, building and ebbing away inbetween, and completely sacking off the form of repetition that hes used on every other work of his that ive heard, which is like a good 7-8 albums. seems wierd he never went back to his skills in writing a geniunely fascinating and original form to write drum and bass music in, could easily have been transfered to other styles aswell, instead of going back to his nearly constant 4 bar rep…

luke vibert tally ho synchronicicity causes confusion
by Guest hahathhat- 2 replies

just now, i put on the tally ho! album. as the opening strains of coughing fired up, someone actually started coughing down the hall. the cougher's cadence was precisely the same as the one in fly swat, and the pitch was pretty close, too. it tripped me the fuck out for a second. time felt like it wasn't moving correctly. it's like when you're going up a flight of stairs in the dark, and you think there's another, but there isn't. your foot stomps down on empty air, and it feels... weird. GOOD MORNING, LUKE VIBERT SUBFORUM.
