We distribute this magazine free every week at my work (a bar in shoreditch), it's not always that great but sometimes it's got some good interviews, record reviews and music hardware reviews. At least it gives me something to check out during my (rare) breaks. Anyhoo it's got an interview with Luke here and they really dig him which is cool, and he's always got good reviews for his records in this mag too. It's a little bit odd though a few things he says could be mis-constrewed and sound a bit negative towards his Amen Andrews alias and use of soft synths. Perhaps it's a a case of bad editing or Luke's relaxed attitude, or shit maybe I'm over analysing, check …

Okay, it's been out in digital form for a few days now and I figure most of you folks have digested it somewhat by now. What's your verdict (because I can't decide what I think until I know what all you think, of course! :fee: [Actually, I think it's pretty fucking fat!])?

Similar Artists to Luke's Acid Stuff

I've always tried to find a lot more acid acts but no one quite as the fresh production that Luke musters and I'm not so much a fan of older acid stuff. I recently discovered "Tin Man" who has more of a similar acid style and wanna find some more, not strictly Luke but can anyone help me out??

I've listened to some luke vibert, and he just seems really dull to me. So i've decided to stop complaining about him and give him another chance. What is a good starter album for Vibert? The only song i can say i like a lot by him is Funky Acid Stuff, so something related to that would be cool. Thanks.

So it started with Yoseph(which I liked) and it has just been going on and on. His work has always had Acid influences or acid tracks mixed in, but now it just seems crazy. Between Mate tron/ Chicago, Detroit, Redruth and His Ace of Clubs release he's just beating a dead horse. How much Acid does a man need! 4 years is enough. I'm killing for some more of his tunes off Sorry I make you l Lush and Musipal. Wagon Christ come back! This is not a knock on Acid, I love Acid... It's a knock on Vibert doing way to much of it! especially when we all know he's capable of so much more.

The only Vibert ive ever heard and liked was Stop the Panic. Ive heard YosepH, Kerrier District and Sorry I Make You Lush and i dont get it.Hes wasted hours of my life, watching sets that go on for hours and bore me rigid waiting for who evers coming on after him. I feel like im missing out on something because so many people have told me how good he is. What should I listen too thats going to change my mind. Edited because I wanted to punch myself in the mouth for using the word feel to much

I've been hearing speculation around that Benefist may have originally been the Warp album that we'd been told about. Can anyone in the know confirm or deny this? Did the deal with Warp fall through somehow? Is there still an album coming on Warp at all? Does Warp even still exist? Anyone?

She also mentions the fact theres 3 Vibert LP's this yr from Mu, Warp & Benefist (or w/e it is im at work typing behind supervisor so there)
