Same night as Autechre in London, does anybody know Plaid (or do they post here??) - I'd love to be able to find out what time their set is, to see if its possible to see Plaid and Autechre on the same day! Also, Audioscope is a very good day out. Usually runs midday - midnight or something like that, raising money for Shelter.

Sublime solo piano versions of Philip Glass by a master interpreter of the legendary minimalist composer. Having cultivated an intense relationship with this music over many years, Brubaker has honed his approach to these pieces to a microcosmic level. A lean, angular performance that navigates the looped repetitions and dovetailing melodies in an achingly beautiful manner. https://bleep.com/release/59559-bruce-brubaker-glass-piano-bonus-track-edition

Hello everyone, I'm doing a 2 hour plaid special on my radio show tomorrow at 6pm gmt. It won't be jam-packed with exclusives like Martin's recent Mixlr broadcast (which was excellent by the way) but it'll have 2 hours of Plaid's music which can't be a bad thing. Hope you can all tune in futuremusic.fm

My brother recorded this set (must have been 1993 cos it has exclusive Transparent Balls tracks on it). I've just had a tidy and put it on my computer so I'm sharing it. Not complete but have listened to it 100s of times over the years and slowly working out the tracks. It took me 20 years to identify the Ravi Shankar & Philip Glass track. http://thequietus.com/articles/16647-ryan-teague-last-known-position-plaid-remix "Bristol producer Ryan Teague is readying his fifth album Block Boundaries for release on November 17 through London's Village Green label. In advance of that, Warp IDM veterans Plaid have reworked the album's first single, 'Last Known Position'. Taking hold of the original's Steve Reich-esque tremulous, cyclical tuned percussion motifs, bespeaking Teague's time in Indonesia spent studying Javanese gamelan music, Plaid transfer them to ping-ponging, submerged synth lines, strafed with volleys of synthetic brass and underlaid with a driving 4/4 beat."
