Took me a bit to warm up to it, but a lot of cool stuff happening with hip hop in the past year, especially in LA. Tried to cram a lot of tracks into this one, so it jumps around quite a bit. 10 similarities is a 70 minute mix set that I've been working on on-and-off for the past year (I posted an early version of the set back in January). It mixes together the tracks and artists that have been an influence on more recent cubus tracks (and tracks that I've loved in general !). I spent quite a while trying to make sure that all the tracks fit together as nicely as possible. Tracklisting: machinefabriek - flotter global communication - 8:07 alva noto - haliod xerrox copy 1 twine - kalea morning twine - lightrain farmers manual - untitled (taken from set Live In Hamburg 1998) machinefabriek - piipstjilling cliff martinez - will she come back …

Taint Zits I reused a few tracks from an older mix entitled "Superliminal". It was the only mix I did that I was unhappy with in the end, and felt could be done a lot better with more interesting blends. Thus, I used about half the tracks from it in this mix, put in a different context and mixed much better (imo). The real issue here, though, is the subtitle of the thread. I spent a good 4 minutes questioning if it should be "for an NSFW Saturday" or "for a NSFW Saturday". Of course there's the whole vowel/consonant rule for a/an, but it's sort of a gray area when it comes to phonetics, since it's technically a consonant, but pronounced "EN ESS EFF DOUBLE YO…

Download When I was making the picture for this in Photoshop, it dawned on me that I included 4 total Photek tracks in this mix. I contemplated redoing it and removing a few, but decided that Photek is awesome enough to get 4 tracks. This mix will be going up later this evening as an episode of Radio's Dead. Obligatory thanks for any interest taken, downloads downloaded, listens listened, and accompanying beer smiley. A number of mixes rapidly approaching a gratuitous level can be found at lifeaftermath.com. I intend to completely rework the site later today, so don't be suprised if you stumble on some broken links.

Hello Watmm. Some friends and I started a music podcast a few weeks ago called Radio's Dead. We try to have really diverse mixes and usually put them up every 3 or 4 days. Sometimes we do themed episodes, for example, the most recent one entitled "Track One Radio" is a mix of the first tracks of several albums, as they often tend to be the best. I figure a lot of folks here would have tastes congruent with ours, so if you feel so inclined give it a listen. I occasionally play some neat things I stumble across in EKT as well, if I am to further justify this blatant advertising with a connection to this messageboard. Here are some URLs if you're interested: …

Download Fucking foot of snow here in PA today. I have to shovel my car out if I want to go anywhere, but I opted out. Instead I sat inside all day working on this when not F5'ing the lulz on Wattum. Tomorrow it'll likely be all ice and an even bigger pain in the ass. Picture taken in the woods out back. Thanks and eternal gratitude for any listens. Plethora of other mixes at the link in my narcissignature.

Download This one features a mashup of Mr. Oizo and the Akira Soundtrack, some Jega and LFO lovemaking, and a kickass track from Rez. This is going up tomorrow as an episode of Radio's Dead, but I thought I'd post it here rather than have it sit on my hard drive for a whole 24 hours. Any listens are appreciated. I'm having a blast doing this. Older stuff:

Holy Shit, We Have An MP3 Player! Yeh, I know I post a lot of mixes, but I'm unemployed and am trying to occupy myself in ways that involve music as not to become creatively stagnant and just play video games 24/7. That being said, I really like how this one turned out. It's more laid back than the others, and shorter too at just under 50 minutes. It's kind of scary how well that Beak/OD song works with Dayvan Cowboy. Does anyone know what became of Wrexsoul? I don't know if he posted here but he was Skeptopotamus on Xlt, and I haven't heard from him in about 4 years. Really love his music. Thanks for listening and all that noise.

these have been brewing on the ol' harddrive for a few weeks of on/off work. Figured it's about time to unleash these on the ambivalent masses. My attention span dictates that my mixes usually only last 30-40 minutes. After that I want to listen to something else. Both are titled after tracks that are in the mix. let's say you were asked to put together a mix of Xmas music. what are some songs you would put on an awesome mix of cool versions of xmas songs? and what would you put on your mix of the shittiest most horrible fucking scrape-your-ass-with-a-cowbell-cheese-grater xmas shitfuck music asshole god damn music ever? i would probably start by putting Paul McCartney's "wonderful xmastime" on both mixes, lol! i would also but the 'xmastime is here' song from Charlie Brown on teh awesome mix. and i would definitely put 'last xmas' by whoever those sissies are, on the shithole mix. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « :santa:

Happy winter solstice everyone, have a mix for the occasion. I love putting together ambient mixes, so here's another one. Tried to do something a little different this time, however, and this one isn't heavy on the synthesizers, there's a lot of real instrumentation amongst the weirdness. This is my soundtrack to a vast bleak corner of the world in the dead of winter, a place not unlike what you might imagine in "The Road."
