BBC 6 Music and Asian Network are amongst a handful of digital stations likely to be axed by 2013. http://www.petition.fm/petitions/6musicasiannet/1000/ Although I don't think there's anyway this can change, it's not good news.

I'm sure many of you have seen this site before, but for those who haven't it's a great way of finding some new music. The guy that runs the site has a brilliant taste in music, literally everything I've listened to that he has posted I've loved. The archive goes back to 2004 too, so plenty to discover. Thought I would share in the hopes that you guys find some music you like. Music Forest (Google Translated Link) I'm currently listening to Crepusculum / Sing On In Silhouettes thanks to the site. Some beautiful folky acoustic guitar instrumental music.

I finally decided to put all the stuff from my label onto discogs. I figured that it only makes sense that i sell directly on the site as well. I am setting the prices very low right now for this promotion, everything is within an affordable range of $5-$9, lots of vinyl and cd - if you order over $40 domestically the shipping is free - international buyers ordering over $55, shipping is free go here to shop note: the only things we are out of at the moment is the fluorescent grey 'drinking tab..' cd and the fabric pouches for the Sote 12", you can still order wakeup it comes in a picture disc clear sleeve. Even though our releases are all on itunes, D…

Right now I'm going for a vinyl copy of Stars of the Lid and Their Refinement of the Decline. If all goes well, this should be about 15 dollars total.

well good evening amigos. i know i've been lacklustre with this wattem foruming malarkey for the last year (girls, degree, etc have kept me somewhat busy), and i've been promising but failing to deliver all those lovely orbscurities that i've mentioned, but i have a plan. i've started a blog. it's here: http://letsgooccidental.blogspot.com/ and the plan is to update at least 3 times a week. honest. i've posted one new orb live recording already, from cambridge 1991, and i'll post at least another one before the end of the night. i won't be posting updates on this forum because i don't want to clutter up this board with my ramblings and spamming, so i suggest that y…

heard faithless for the first time the other day - and some of the origins of trance music, some of the big guns were brilliant (and probably still are, but i have avoided them because of the mountains of cheese surrounding the trance/progressive scene). loved it. can anyone recommend some really good quality trance. not any psychedelic stuff like infected mushroom et al, but really bloody deep. new or old, acid or non acid, but has to be deep as an abyss. i also love the luke chable remix of you are sleeping. brilliant tune. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HyS80Uf9a8

I was re-watching a doc on the American Revolution a few weeks ago just to re-orient myself with the subject matter, and the soundtrack had some fascinating pieces by this character Mark O' Connor......maybe two or three of his compositions were bearable, but they were damn good!...so anyways I find out he did a few collaborations with the one and only Yo Yo Ma....needless to say im on a huge appalachian folk kick....this stuff is highly recommended if you think you might like it...just a cello and a fiddle or banjo...very comforting to listen to. anyway, I was curious if any WATMMers would have something to recommend me along those lines. also, for reference, …
