(Chuck Manson was like a proto-Vincent Gallo...some of it is, admittedly, really fucking good oh what could have been) (Jim Jones' People's Temple Choir...great stuff) (David Koresh, on the other hand, sucked...that DI guitar sound lol) it's suprisingly hard to search for music by cults and cult-leaders, as there are bands called both The Cults and Cult Leaders

live hardware performances recorded in a box watching this one now randomly, never heard of this guy or the others so far (i'm not in the know) but pretty cool stuff. Speedy J has a set himself but i haven't checked it out yet, and i imagine the artists he's pulling in are more on this dirty techno tip? full playlist lnk:

Underworld were probably the people who initially really turned me on to electronic music in a serious way. Both 'Dubnobasswithmyheadman' and 'Second Toughest In The Infants' are triumphs of what can be done musically within the constraint of electronic music. Deep, technical albums. The many supporting EPs that were released along side them were huge, significant remixes - many of which could have served as the main body of work for any other artist. 'Beaucoup Fish' released in '98 and was a more dance floor orientated album. Rhythmically and tonally a departure from the earlier material but still very much recognisable. Many tracks being a twist on straight techno.…

I've been really digging J Dilla - Donuts and Dr. No's Oxperiment lately (both of which were recommended from folks here at WATMM). I want more in this vein. Hit me up with some suggestions. Yes, I have both Flying Lotus albums and the new Vibert.

Hello. I am looking to diversify my collection of records to trip by. I've seen threads like this on reddit and other places but mostly finding superficial or obvious suggestions. So I turn to you WATMM. Could you fine folks recommend a few deep albums to psychonaut by, particularly while peaking? No genre restrictions apply, could be a soundtrack for some full power booty shaking or a more sombre entheogenic explorations. I'll start with a hat-tip for a stone cold classic and something a little different.

So what do you guys think of Fred Again..? He hasn't gained a lot of traction on this forum yet, but he's been gaining massive popularity these past months/ years. I personally really enjoy his stuff so I thought why not make a thread on him, although I do think a lot of you guys are going to find him mainstream crap. I also usually am not a fan of the mainstream producers but what sets this guy apart is that imo he creates a really nice emotional experience throughout his albums documenting life during the pandemic. And the Four tet/ Skrillex collabs are amazing of course. His livesets are insane as well He also has an ambient album out now on Four Tets label …

Since we have a few Zombies on here, thought it about time we have a MBM club. Something to start things off right: http://cratedigging.co/10/11407/rchecka_-_jacked__a_meat_beat_manifesto_dj_mix_?fbclid=IwAR17LJJYVnULsi8ukBjKvcxZOiQRo2Kuey5wHfI98ahT1A1Mbp4tZzO130g

yes, this thread is going to annoy the hell out of a lot of you elitist freaks, so here it goes! industrial music.... dub music........ Basslines that make the weak-willed faint........ innovated by the drummer from Napalm Death........ the tracks 'Angels' by Vex'd and Toasty Boy....two amazing yet completely different tracks with the same name......... Sin City being the most sampled film ever in one genre...... these are some of my favorite things about this music..... and listening to it really loud! Don't be a hater, smoke a reefer and jam out with me...... Man....... Guy....... listen to Rob 7 by Darqw…

Who's the person behind zvλd? I was listening to a lot of the stuff on the soundcloud that's up and really, really liked the tracks I heard, almost more so than a good deal of tunes coming out lately. Reminded me of little bits of loads of artists but arranged and done so by someone who knows what the fuck they are doing. https://soundcloud.com/occult-research/3v8zzzdg0hdk https://soundcloud.com/zvld/0hgpahdiwygn https://soundcloud.com/zvld/go-placid https://soundcloud.com/zvld/regen https://soundcloud.com/zvld/haunt https://soundcloud.com/zvld/waerd Anyone got a clue on this one? Either way, it's great tunes - give the soundcloud a listen too, there's lots o…

Discussion thread for music from all over the world. Ideally the thread should have an even distribution of music from various regions according to musical variety rather than language or borders. I'll start with some: Japan: Algeria:

in the past 20 years we've gone from the East Coast vs West Coast debacle, to Nicki Minaj vs Iggy Azalea, lol. It's a new century for sure, a lot more entertaining (we need a break from reality lite than ever as the earth descends into chaos) and a lot more lighthearted. It's a sexy rap war oooh! and leave it to women to bring it on, sweet.

We've had a few zine related threads in the past, but there is a resurgence of private press books coming out, so better to collate them all in one thread. We already have this thread with a pretty negative title and this other thread, but not a proper Footwork general thread. So yeah, a thread for posting old + new tracks sharing your stash of RP Boo unreleased tracks posting vids of dudes actually dancing to this stuff complaining that you still don't get it / footwork is shit and most of all asking for track IDs (the eternal struggle)
