There was already a thread on this, but it fell apart after two or three pages so I decided to make a new one. The game is to tune into the last.fm radio of the user above you, listen to ~5 songs, and write a little bit about each of the songs. Once you have your short reviews all written out, add a link to your own radio and post it. The next person will use your link to repeat the process. You can access your radio by clicking on the "Play Your Library" button underneath *your username*'s Library Because I'm the OP, I'll go ahead and post my own radio: http://www.last.fm/listen/user/IV_VV_IV_VV_VII/personal

Is this shit for real? I was reading about this guy today somewhere...holy fuck is this ever terrible. It makes british hip-hop look good. The first like 5 seconds I was though it was like a 9th wonder kind of sound, that would be alright, but then the beat drops and it's like...well. Just watch. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NYdo3UGBaQk

i want to get into soul music. recommend me some stuff. is there some kind of slightly experimental classic soul, something verging on trip hop but from the seventies? basically the more melancholy it is, the better.

The DJing community and the greater dance music scene mourns the loss of a clubbing staple today. No, Steve Aoki hasn’t hung up his record bag, but rather news has emerged that iconic turntable manufacturers Technics will be stopping production on their universally loved Technics 1200s and Technics 1210s. In a statement re-posted on dance board Global Hardstyle, the company behind the production of the Technics turntables Panasonic announced that they would cease the manufacture of Tehcnics turntables in February next year, citing an increasing decline in sales as the motivation behind the line’s demise. The Australian arm of Panasonic issued a similar statement t…

> The Centrifuge Radio Show TONIGHT 10pm GMT with exclusive mix from EOD. Tune in at http://www.Brap.FM for two hours of cutting edge electronix hosted by DJ Ursa with a real treat in store - a special guest mix from Norweigan acid prodigy EOD. A talent very much in the ascendancy, EOD has recently had tracks out on Kvist Records and the consistently excellent 030303 label. He might not be a household name yet, but a certain VERY FAMOUS acid musician (can you guess who?) has been dropping EOD tracks in his DJ sets all the way through 2009. Big things to come from this one...DO NOT MISS THIS!

Just giving it a re-listen after being away from it for a while. Was reading the Wiki entry for it and was surprised to discover how it came about and how much money was put into it. More than I would have guessed, and I also never thought the orchestral stuff was recorded for this album. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kirlian_Selections To me many of the tracks kind of sound like what would happen if Squarepusher and Aphex collaborated... with Tom doing beat programming and Rich on classical piano. Not sure about his level of playing but the person playing classical piano on this album is pretty good. i.e. last half of "Shortcuts" Unlike some peeps I don't…
