Was channel surfing last night and settled on a hour long review of Moby on Flaunt - a much better effort than the usual electro crap they stick on. Had forgotten that, many years back, he actually had some pretty good techno tunes like 'Go' and 'Move' - albeit on the commercial poppy side. And then he found there was a load of music to be made in harmless elevator music and started churning out pure shit. You'd almost forget that some of these acts once did stuff that wasn't bad at all. And that was my hour with Moby.

Was having this conversation recently with my girl. I found her perspective puzzling. She spoke about how sometimes it's hard for her to continue to enjoy things like music and films that she loved, once they catch on with mainstream audiences. I was kinda baffled as to how she would let the opinions of irrelevant people that had nothing to do with the creation of something she enjoyed and pick up on the surface noise of life in general, get in the way of her enjoyment over it. My perspective has always been that when something is made, it's usually unmolested at the time of it's creation. Assuming the artist is unmoved by their own hype and sticking to what got them…

Casino vs. Japan, Freescha, Hills West, fieldtriqp, Milieu, am-boy, ten and tracer, bibio, Canyon Country, etc. I like the aforementioned artists......they dominate my playlists in home, car, mp3 player, computer, etc. I've been out of commission for a while and am in need of something new-ish that fit the criteria the above folks fill. Help is appreciated. Thanks WATMM.

Hi all, just joined this forum recently and thought some people here might like this album, judging by the stuff people seem to be into round these parts. It's by The Village Orchestra (now known as 'TVO') you may have heard his new (very good!) CD / Download album on Stuff called 'The Dark Is Rising' (was a 12" release of it too with a remix by 2562). anyway, this album was made in 2004 and has a nice mix of ambient / techno sounds. FACT magazine are hosting a free download of it here : http://www.factmagazine.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2318&Itemid=99 (3rd link down in the article) Check the intervie…

I kinda burned out on Sonic Youth around 9 years ago, partly due to their tunes being linked to a girl I was trying to get over. The last album I bought of theirs was NYC Ghost n Flowers. Please recommend me some of their newer stuff (post 2000). Thanks babe.
