A swedish Indie Artist-loney Dear

I’m an avid fan of Loney dear. Loney dear is a Swedish Indie Artist who happens to be a moniker of multi instrumentalist from Sweden. Emil discreetly builds Loney, dear songs using a modest home studio set-up. In this way he has recorded and then released himself on CD-R four albums in the last two or three years.

i guess it must be our friendly neighbourhood archive-bot at work. ELO! Jeff Lynne! the man was a sonic pioneer. stereo panning, real hi-fi clarity, some very experimental phasing and equalisation techniques, a continuation of the work the beatles started in incorporating orchestral instruments into rock music, lovely analogue synths and vocoders all over the place, boc^H^H^Hbackmasking, stage sets funkadelic would be proud of, and when ELO adopted disco, some beats vibert would beg to have made. but fuck all that, if i'm walking down the street and my mp3 player is on shuffle and 'mr. blue sky' comes on, i literally cannot stop myself from breaking out …

http://www.blackmetalmovie.com I want to see this. Although i've already read a bit about this whole Mayhem/Burzum thing, almost ad nauseam, it still may be interesting. Don't forget to mute the stupid ambient sounds while watching the trailer. Also, BOC

when will this shit end? rephlex, warp, netlabels, etc...it's like every single band has to sound like they recorded an album inside a glitch in the matrix. we get it. richard d james album was a great album. move on. and now i'm reading about some new genre called "glitch hop". wtf. please stop hopping on bandwagons.

planetoid where are you these two dudes put out some wicked records back in the 90's. spatial specific and floating in shallow water are both awesome. too bad they didn't do too much more... any one who hasn't heard em needs to. go for it.

Animal Collective 1 2 3
by Guest AOOproductions- 54 replies

I don't get it. Do I need to be drunk and blasting the music at a heinous level to understand it or something. I mean, everyone i talk to yells at me when i call them noise... and I guess they aren't... plus Pitchfork is absolutely bananas about them, so thats just one more reason not to like them as far as im concerned. they gave their last album a 9.6 and rated it the 14th best album of the decade... sure their hasn't been a vast amount of musical statements these last 10 years... but c'mon now pitchfork. 14th best of decade? Post good songs please that could possibly change my mind.

http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/tol/arts_and_entertainment/music/article6922991.ece Ok, so there's going to be lots of these threads, and obviously the people who compiled this list are fucking idiots as they don't have the exact same taste in music as myself, but there's a smattering of pertinent choices. Geogaddi and Tender Buttons make an appearance. There's some weird omissions. If the two albums above and Radiohead count as pop, surely Interpol's debut should be in there.
