I'm in the (fucking laborious) process of ripping my CDs. Does anyone happen to have a high-res scan of Antipop Consortium's "Shopping Carts Crashing" album? Thanks... I'm sure I'll need a few more before the process is finished...

Been getting back into ambient, and looking for more stuff in this field. Especially in the vein of Steve Roach, Oöphoi, Alio Die, Tetsu Inoue. Ambient with a more "etheric" feeling if you want. Any suggestions?

HELLO, I'm writing up a paper on Warp's "Artificial Intelligence" compilations, the movement away from British rave culture in the early 90s, chill-out music, electronica, "music seeking to provoke thought rather than to nullify it" (love that quote)... that kind of thing any wattmers out there know of any particular interviews with Steve Beckett or Rob Mitchell around this time, or any articles on this kind of "home-listening" electronic music? I've made a good start on it but I figured you guys always have a shit tonne of helpful information. cheers pumpkins

I got into techno a couple of months ago and now I'm exploring the genre. Specifically, I heard the Atlas / Titan 12" by Monolake today, and Titan blew me away. I'm looking for dark and atmospheric techno in the same vein as this release, anyone willing to help?

Page one started a bit rough, so best to skip on to page 2 :) --------------------------------------- This shall be the place to post your most recent discoveries of "psychedelic" music, art, philosophy, whatever, Please no arguing about which band is more eco conscious that the other. And yes festivals like woodstock create a lot of garbage that goes into landfills. This is about the music and how it takes you on a mental journey. --------------------------------------- Okay here's a format that you CAN GO BY IF YOU WANT ,for this thread to keep it organized, but just posting names is fine too (an embedded youtube would be nice along with it tho): Music…

So, yeah, anyone else check this out yet? Pretty effing awesome (though I'm sure some will hate it). Also, don't know if anyone has checked out the live stuff that T-hom has been doing lately but it's pretty bad-assed - never thought I'd hear Flea + Thom Yorke and it sound good, but a lot of the Eraser songs seem to benefit from the live treatment.

Dimlite is the best 1 2

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9PWq3ZqPuE I have to say, listen to this, quiz tears, his old album is good, but all of his stuff in the years since is amazing. When his new album comes out I WILL EXPLODE. (unless it turns out bad due to some disastrous series of events) I'm pretty sure I like Dimlite's EP work better than Hud Mo or Fly Lo (Fly Lo def. has to give cred to Dimlite for inspiration I'd think)

HALP
by Guest hahathhat- 9 replies

i heard this song day before yesterday, it's stuck in my head, and i have no idea what it was. it sounded like it was acapella (or mostly vocal). kind of arpeggiated duh dudduhs in chords with duhs for a bassline, with and a lady singing rapid-fire on top of it. language was not english, and was perhaps eastern european. my friend thinks it's from the 80s. absolutely catchy as fuck so -- what is it?? HALP!@!
