if there are any Amon Tobin or Doublequick fans out there, I strongly recommend checking this out. I found it hard to get into the original version - I'm partial to the odd bit of rapping but every song (bar the closing track) was smothered in it. some bangin shit on this one

things that made me LOL have been boldenated http://www.factmagazine.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2560&Itemid=26 it sounds like they skimmed WATMM thread for the album, chopped it up into fine pieces, and arrived at a salad that makes no sense.

Does anyone have Benga's Newstep in the zip format? If so, please PM me and I'll be your best friend. Moderators please note that I am not doing anything illegal here. Instead, I am merely inquiring if anyone has Newstep in a Zip. My computer won't work RAR. Just so that all of WATMM knows.

DJ Mink, Rob Gordon and Warp Records
by Guest ox2lf- 5 replies

I'm assuming someone here has an extensive knowledge of Warp and it's artists, so I'm hoping one of you might be able to answer some questions about DJ Mink. Specifically, can anyone tell me exactly who Mink and 2wice The Trouble are/were? Also, how deep was Rob Gordon's involvment in the production of Hey! Hey! Can U Relate? I'm also wondering if someone can specify the differences between the FON, Ozone and Warp pressings and mixes. Any aid would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you in advance! Dave3

http://sex4ears.blogspot.com/2009/07/new-daft-punk.html Pretty self-explanatory. What do you guys think? The opening riff initially reminded me of "W" or "Z" from Lambs Anger. Seriously, compare them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4kTVkCYXrA In all, it's nothing amazing. I honestly expected something better, cause their stuff from Alive 2007 set the bar pretty high...

Metropolis - http://imdb.com/title/tt0017136/ Earlier on in the Bracketology 2008 back when A Space Odyssey 2001 was still on the list some of us mentioned that it would be interesting redoing the soundtrack if it ended up winning - like a new DSC Compilation of some sort. We also mentioned Fritz Lang's Metropolis from 1927 as a candidate, since the A Space Odyssey 2001 fanbase would put a jihad on us if we started changing anything from the original, so Rook and I started talking about arranging this. But before any of this is put into action and we spend too much time on it, we'd like to hear how many of you might be interested in redoing/remaking the soundtrack for…

Gary Numan
by Guest idrn- 17 replies

so what do you guys think of gary numan? i realised i was totally unfamiliar with his work, except for 'cars' which is a bit tragic. i downloaded his entire discography and i think only the pleasure principle is really worth my money. i like his production style, catchy and utilitarian, and also his sort of delayed and piercing melodic singing. he's not nearly a big a synth buff as people make out though - he seems to only use random analogue string machines, but i guess it's all part of the aesthetic. but yeah, i loves it.

hello. i once found , on slsk, what appeared to be the 2nd plone Lp that was never released. i think that was probably on my old mac, cause i no longer have it. i never really listeneed to it other than a quick skim through and i don't rememnber much about it, other than it didnt seem anywhere near as nice as the first one but then i did just skim through it :( now it seems ive lost my real original bought version of the first one which i just had a pang for, which reminded me of the 2nd one, which prompted me to make this thread. anybody wanna hook me up with it?

POLL THREE! YAY I fail at this. So here we go, PLZ VOTE AGAIN. I'm sorry i botched the previous 2. Here's some highlights from the last thread (that i accidentally made public) ---------------------- It's mostly an interest in the internet. Watmm has been pretty supportive of wisp and in these controversial record company time we are going through, I'm interested to see how much of the hype (the massive shimmering hour thread in upcomng releases) delivered past exactly that, "hype". Have people continued to be fans, did people actually buy the album they so enthusiastically posted about. Is he an artist people consider for a life time, example, will ther…

The song Thank U sounds kinda boc-ish at the start. Kinda like Zoetrope. Even the chord progression. Plus she's from Canada. Should I go back to the afx subforum now? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxueYZLvs48

I've only really heard a few tracks with some decent DJ scratching going on but I want to hit up some really excellent tracks, and hopefully even full albums. If you wanna know what I'm looking for, basically the track Feadz On by Mr Oizo off of Analog Worms Attack is the direction I want to go here. I'm mostly thinking like, light bouncy hip-hop sounding stuff with the scratching. Preferably no vocals though, I'm sure you can help watmm!!!

so anyway i uploaded FSOL's "Environments 2" and i get this in my inbox from "gazcobain" i thought it was fucking hilarious. because on my channel i DID actually say i was the admin of aphextwin.com this was my response "i'm not file sharing. i am showing off good music though. it DOES promote it, and people are more than likely going to want to buy the hard copy of an album, most people aren't going to just rip the music straight from youtube. the sound quality isn't that good, especially if the video isn't in HQ. so no, it's not like i'm handing out rapidshare links with your albums. i'm not doing this for myself, i am not doing it for attention. …
