A mysterious project which has been going since the 80s... They seem madly underrated. Imagine the cousin of Zoviet France from rust belt america... discovered in a pool of oil. Some of it reminds me of the ambient bits of the last Boards of Canada record. I figured they could use more love. https://fossilaerosol.bandcamp.com/music Here is an interesting record I have had on rotation: https://fossilaerosol.bandcamp.com/album/revisionist-history Here is a more recent one with Zoviet France: And here is one composed of samples from zombie films: https://fossilaerosol.bandcamp.com/album/zombi-traditions-37-years

I'm big on drum'n'bass.... though honestly I prefer to hear it instrumental, BUT, sometimes, an MC can add alot to the mix as well. One of the biggest ones was MC Conrad. He recently passed away. Most known for joining LTJ Bukem over the years. I'm sure some peeps heard, know or knew him. Big up, and big thanks champ:

I'm not naming names but you know who I'm talking about. Artists that parody famous people's names by switching some letters around. Only one that ever had some working value I thought was Bit Meddler. At least that had some creative meaning. Outside of that trend there are just some that are plain bad.

I've kind of stopped listening to music...used to be obsessed with everything new but now just check out the usual Autechre, Aphex, Squarepusher etc I'd appreciate some recommendations say from 2015 onwards...electronic I understand some people hate lists but they are kind of useful.

It was inevitable but still kinda hurts. All the best for Guy-Man and Thomas. End of transmission.

Underworld were probably the people who initially really turned me on to electronic music in a serious way. Both 'Dubnobasswithmyheadman' and 'Second Toughest In The Infants' are triumphs of what can be done musically within the constraint of electronic music. Deep, technical albums. The many supporting EPs that were released along side them were huge, significant remixes - many of which could have served as the main body of work for any other artist. 'Beaucoup Fish' released in '98 and was a more dance floor orientated album. Rhythmically and tonally a departure from the earlier material but still very much recognisable. Many tracks being a twist on straight techno.…

So, except for this thread I couldn't find much appreciation for such a pioneering band, I do not know much about them except that I love Loh Land, Mohnomische and especially Assault and Mirage with all of my heart: They also run the radio show "A Duck in a Tree" since 2012 (edit: with 219 editions!), which has helped me discover some incredible music... Please enlighten me on other works of theirs, and appreciate the sounds

So my mate from school days has released a country music album. I don't know much about country, but it is very well produced music with great lyrics and he has a unique voice. Seems to be getting good reviews from the press too. Anyone here dig this stuff? Specifically Americans? Ags lives in rural Oxfordshire and so its pretty cool to be getting recognised by some of the American radio stations that are playing his tunes. Just wondered if there are any watmm hillbillies and what their opinions are. http://agsconnolly.com/?page_id=103 This is a recording from a local gig I went to a couple of weeks back h…

I just discovered this software the other day, it's honestly insane how good it is at generating music. I was able to get it to pump out quite a bit of vaporwave, lo-fi hip hop, and ambient tracks without much trouble: link Obviously this isn't really that new or surprising, this has been coming for a while, but I'm blown away at how good it is at what it does. Anybody here have any thoughts on what this means for music and music listeners? Seems like it could be good for music in the sense that this will push artists to be less formulaic and more experimental or adventurous in their creativity, but it could hurt the bottom line for a lot of musicians for hire…

Been regularly listening to 6 Music recently for the first time in forever and have been loving it - got me thinking that I really don't want radio to die seeing as Hotel Radio Paris recently stopped broadcasting. Anyway, I thought I'd make a more general radio thread as there are several threads dedicated to specific stations. Do you still listen to radio? Is there a good station you'd like to share? Is an artist you like doing a set on a station in the future? Share it here 🙂 https://radio.garden/ https://www.nts.live https://www.kexp.org https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds

What is some unknown outsider music you've found? No big names like Wesley Willis or Jandek. Darren Finizio is pretty fantastic.

Could you recommend me some good House Music? I loved the housy bits from Numbers Lucent, and there's this track on the new Vibert album that's called House Stabs and I really like it as well. So it would be swell if y'all were able to recommend me some! Thanks

live hardware performances recorded in a box watching this one now randomly, never heard of this guy or the others so far (i'm not in the know) but pretty cool stuff. Speedy J has a set himself but i haven't checked it out yet, and i imagine the artists he's pulling in are more on this dirty techno tip? full playlist lnk:
