I've been living in Atlanta for 2 months and I'm already sick of this shit. Lil Wayne, Gucci Mayne, and the thousands of other wannabees vomitting autotuned, lazy, unintelligible vowels over an 808 beat need to fuck off forever. Get this shit off my stereo.

So apparently it's a genre. Some of its very catchy, some of it is awful, dunno how long it'll be interesting to me. http://releases.pcmusic.info/

So we have the thread for beautiful tracks, etc.. But I figured hey, lets have a thread for all those absolutely awful tracks out there, the ones that almost hurt to sit and listen to, wether it be obnoxious vocals, terrible writing, cringe-worthy lyrics, poor production whatever, let's hear it... Wether it's awesomely bad or just downright terrible I saw this song vid posted on a cringe-worthy thread on some other site, and it may be one of the most obnoxious songs I've ever heard, not even 15 seconds in and I want to smack this chick to make her stop...

Hidden music in a guitar pedal, dudes. https://www.guitarworld.com/news/my-bloody-valentine-kevin-shields-new-music-fender-pedal Anyone have one of these babies? I had no clue Kevin had his own pedal (they are like $1500 on reverb now). I’m very curious to hear the track. This is such a RDJ thing to do btw. If anyone has one of those Korg Monologues or Novation AFX Stations, maybe pop it open and look for a thumb drive.

I'm pretty angry. I was hoping to buy the "Christmas Cracker" and "Fan Dabi Dazi". Both the archive and the store are gone. I asked Kirby what happened and he said: "Website is down for good, 28.400 style... site had to be pulled down to refocus. It's unlikely anything will be for sale for the forseeable future. We never say never though. Have a good holiday captain." I loved that website.

With Clark's recent release of Sus Dog, do you think other electronic music artists should consider adding vocals to their tracks?

I'm currently listening to Microgravity. The "reissue with bonus album" edition. And I'm wondering what you guys' (inclusive for all genders and sexes!) favourite Biosphere album is. Mine is probably either Microgravity or Patashnik. Never been properly grabbed by his more concept/ambient releases. So I might be missing out massively. And, to be fair, if you're into 90s artificial intelligence IDM, both of these are rather obvious choices. A bit too obvious perhaps. Because the period and style are pretty on the nose. If you also love his older albums, leave a shout. And more importantly, add suggestions for the people who got their head stuck in the early 90s (…

Does anyone have recommendations for harp music or harpists? Whilst I quite like the sound, I'm rather unfamiliar with it in general. The closest I know of would be Toumani Diabete and the kora instrument.

I really like the interpretation the Japanese have of IDM. Himuro is really awesome, there are two Himuro This song Himuro - Die Faultiere is good http://songfountain.com/discussion/92 The other HImuro isHimuro Yoshiteru, hopefully I am not confusing the same person lol. There is another Japanese producer I found on the same site called aus, which is great too. Does anybody know any other artists?

As the title says, there exists a playlist on all your apple devices labeled "Top 25 Most Played". List it here and we can all make assumptions about each other. Don Caballero (up to American Don), Slint, Piglet, (early) Tera Melos, Giraffes? Giraffes!, Faraquet, The Redneck Manifesto, Adebisi Shank, LITE, Battles, Oxes, Drive Like Jehu, etc. Anyone else dig this genre here? I'm always looking for recommendations for more of this stuff. I have to say I prefer instrumental math rock, but Slint and Drive Like Jehu both rock.
