Recommend me a salad 1 2

Post a salad you like. I've been eating like a college student lately and I need to get some healthy food in my system to prepare for the weekend. The Walkers new flavour thread made me feel like eating some fish and chips but a salad needs to be added for the extra nutritional value. Plus I'm hungry for salad. Let's have it! No boring salad please.

just thought I'd give people a heads up on this. cduniverse has freeform's album human for $2.30. no, I don't know why it's so cheap. I'd buy it, but I already have a copy. it's a very reputable company. I've ordered from them for years and the service has always been great. link

So, I don't watch much tv, but in the middle of the night, I occasionally catch some weird commercials & infomercials. One that I noticed starting about a year ago more and more was these cash for gold/melt down your gold commercials. Well it's been bleeding in to some day time TV as well, from what I've noticed. Any body else find these really strange/frightening? I understand the reason why they are popping up, but just seeing the economy reflected in Back To The Future II sort of way is odd.

So last night I start getting a light head followed by coughing/cold/sweat/shivers... 50 minutes ago I get up after lying in my bed for 12 hours with a monster sweat on. I'm not complaining, this is the first time I've been ill in ages... I wanted to know what was the last illness you suffered with. Or are currently suffering with....

RIP Max Neuhaus
by Guest Glass Plate- 1 reply

This week marked the passing of a true visionary of contemporary art, Max Neuhaus. Originally an accomplished solo percussionist who toured with Boulez and Stockhausen, in the late 1960's Neuhaus moved his practice out of the concert hall and into the public sphere, setting up numerous sound-based installations in and around New York City. Perhaps his most famous installation is Times Square, consisting of a large speaker emitting a resonating drone from beneath a traffic island grate in the heart of the spectacular crossroads. The work is remarkable for its ability to carve out a meditative sonic chamber amongst the clamor and saturation of its surroundings. Ne…

I'm definitely going for electro and by electro I mean the good, brutal 'new school' electro, i.e. boys noize, justice etc. all about some rough basslines and a cup of tea tbh. what else would be noteworthy?

Has anyone seen this? I have it and will probably watch it tonight, it's supposed to be fantastic. I haven't really seen a decent horror movie since I saw Ringu (ju version) so I'm looking forward to seeing it. Trailer: http://www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi3480485913/

I used to play 'guns' and 'army' all the time when i was young, using cap guns and pretending to be shot. Using water bombs as grenades. Fantastic. The only thing that was missing... WAS THIS! THIS IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!

Ratatouille 1 2
by Guest loonybin- 27 replies

While I wouldn't say it was a great film, there was a lot to like about it. The animation wasn't as eye-catching as some other recent CGI films but I did notice how little I was noticing it. Heh, by that I mean it didn't draw attention to itself and was more immersive than impressive (with the exception of the views of Paris which were sumptuous and the "blind taste" scenes which were inventive). My favorite character was the obese ghost of the famous chef Gusteau, it was funny how he was there to motivate the rat Reme with little bits of cooking wisdom. I wouldn't dispute that good food is an art but there's something inherently absurd about being a serious gourmet …

I may move to Ireland (temporarily) next year...
by Guest Great Maker ShaiHulud- 11 replies

Depends how various job related things turn out. If I get my way, I might be able to choose to work in Ireland for a year. It'd be in County Kildare, whatever that means. I'm thinking the Scotch opporunities will be glorious. I've never had Irish whiskey, so that might be good too. I'd also like to visit Cathcart in scotland and show everyone my passport. Is this a good idea (remember it's temporary initially) ? I've got a bunch of family in Derry, so I'd probably end up visiting one way or another anyway.

hey guys this bizarre belgian sleazebag who lives with my friend gave me a laptop tonight, some kind of Dell Inspiron piece of shit but it seems to sort of work except its in french, is it possible to change the language or do I need a system disc of some sort? he also gave me an unused replacement laptop screen to sell on ebay for him because hes too lazy, I get 50% also he once tried to get my girlfriend to come back to his house for 'coffee', alone, at 1am, when I was sitting right next to him and I told him she was muslim so she wasn't allowed, its not true. in fact it was a LIE :)
