There's too many of us, that's for sure. Pretend you're requested by the Earth Government / Illuminati / Braindance collective / World Leaders to deal with the overpopulation issue. You have full powers. What do you do? Sterilize criminals and/or certain collectives? Impose a child cap? If so, how many per capita? New plague? Holocaust 2.0?

As some of you might remember I've posted a couple of short online documentaries before about sketchy people (anyone remember the one about the Japanese murderer who turned into a pornstar?) and weird places, groups of people etc. I love getting a peek into these weird worlds but often these documentaries can be really hard to find - so that's why I've started this thread so we can all post awesome documentaries about random shit just as long as it's interesting. Vice has a huge collection of cool documentaries but their site can be a pain in the ass to navigate so I'm sure I've missed a bunch of cool video features that a lot of you would enjoy as well. Remember to t…

I know most of you are too young to remember a time where I graced these message boards with charm and wit. But perhaps there exists amongst the miscreants who now post here a select few that will remember when my kind face was featured on a cbs.com article about cold weather in Chicago. If any of you talented web urchins could track down that thread and the link to the story (I have tried in vain), I will reward you with kindness. Now, set upon your quest!

doing a little drunk geek reminiscing, and watching the 90s anime remake of this awesome series. as a little kid i had no idea what anime was, but i knew Battle of the Planets kicked ass. we (the neighborhood kids) re-enacted the show all the time, with my little speech-impeded friend unluckily always stuck playing the duck kid. in Japan it was known as Science Ninja Team, which is a much cooler name but whateva. so now they're making a CG animated movie out of it, from the studio working on the Astro Boy film. movie version of characters: they are also heavily featured in the new fighting game Tatsunoko vs. Capcom which unfortunately looks …

That's it, 2013 came to an end. It has been a superprolific year for electronic music, new artists but also new albums from very great figures of idm, such as Autechre, BoC, Jon Hopkins, Arovane, 0PN... well you can finish the list. But also I want to personally thank you for this amazing (almost one) year I've been here, you're very funny and nice and you made me discover great music this year. I miss the chat too, great times there. And also congrats to some talents in here, I love Foil's music and GRVGLTCHR, as well as the watmm and chatmm compilations whose organizers I want to thank them for letting me being part of them. Feliz Año Nuevo!!

So I just finished reading Irvine Welsh's "Filth" and felt compelled to make this thread. If you've read it you'll know why, the book totally jumps the shark at the end when the reader discovers the protagonist was a cross-dresser and in addition he was responsible for his brother's death and in addition his childhood girlfriend was struck by lightning and in addition he was a bastard and his father was an insane pedophile. Then he kills himself in front of his wife and child and shits himself in the process and a talking tapeworm comes out his ass to write the last few lines of the book I mean, just fuck you Mr. Irvine Welsh, I was so enjoying the character…

ive recently become familiar with the term "deep politics". from wiki: what are the biggest, or most interesting, under researched/reported gov coverups? of course theres the recent nsa stuff but im looking for something more obscure. i lean towards the franklin credit union scandal of the 1980s. never before or since have i encountered such a nexus for the bizarre and troubling like in this case. still blows my mind. http://spotlightonabuse.wordpress.com/2013/05/02/tim-tate-on-the-making-of-the-franklin-scandal-documentary-conspiracy-of-silence/ im interested in reading about more instances of "deep politics"..the cia/crack connection is always inter…

anyone else had any experience with this? I've been investigating the options and I'm curious to hear from other people. both of my eyes are -8.5, I'd be super happy if I didn't have to depend on glasses or contacts all the time. so I've pretty much decided I'm doing it soon (in the next couple of months), and which method I'm going to go with (PRK). my cornea is not thick enough for the standard LASIK procedure, wherein they cut a flap in the outer layer with a blade, fold it back, and then use an excimer laser to ablate the inner layer. I am however eligible for either: - iLasik: similar to the standard LASIK except it's bladeless, they use a laser on the ou…
