Janet Jackson had the power to crash laptop computers - The Old New Thing (microsoft.com) so, a few things here: first of all the song is decent, but she's got better ones imo. of note is that Chen specifically mentions the music video causing the resonant frequency, not the song in general....and i assume there's only those first ~30 seconds of video before the song properly starts. should be easy enough to narrow down the candidates. all sorts of frequencies are in audio/music we hear all the time. why would this particular instance of one particular frequency cause an issue? the volume of this frequency as well as the frequency itself? woul…

i found out what ASMR was about 6 months ago on Reddit it's not to be mistaken with Frisson ( which is the chills you get like when you hear the audience sing along to a band's lyrics. it's that tingly feeling you get when you get a haircut, or stimulated attention or watching bob ross or for me, MR Rogers. we become intrigued. it starts with the chills on the top of your scalp if you guys wanna post some videos that give you asmr, that would be rad here's one of my favorites by the way be sure to wear headphones with these kind of videos

Ive got this old classic analog synthesis book. The Allen Strange book. I need to have it OCR'ed. So I can search it. I tried reddit, They said put it in google drive and you can spit out the text. I want the actual Pdf still intact. I dont have any pro graphic software. I think Adobe reader pro can do it. Any help appreciated.

For me yeah pretty boring, wife two kids suburban life decent job. Still like the same music I did 20 years ago, plus a few things here or there. Back to making music in the last couple years. Still game. Have kept a lot of the same friends from growing up plus new neighbors. Life's been good so far.

I just found out about China-Sneakers as they currently kind of steal the Adidas market and I was curious what the fuss was about. They are much more weird than what the west is used to. (source https://www.chinasportshop.com/ ) I have never seen something like this in a normal sneaker store

If Trump gets his own thread, this utter disgrace of British society needs his own too. I'll kick us off with his interview yesterday which is basically indicative of how terrible a human being he is. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2017/jun/21/hang-on-a-second-boris-johnson-flounders-on-interview-circuit

i jam a memorex into my walkman and throw on my trench before heading out around 11:30. the strange orange glow of the incessant california fires clashed with the crisp coolness of the air. the night was young, anything could happen. i walked swiftly out of my gang-dommed neighborhood, dodging the fierce glances always seeming to me right on the edge of a violent outburst. still, the gangs had been simmering lately and that was better than the boilings over that kept me locked in my basement earlier in the summer. i made my way to the strip, keeping my headphones on but turning down the volume as i sauntered into the realm of the cruising night owls just getting things st…

built into the very fabric of reality. deeper than the strings and older than what came before them. words accepted as the will of the etched logos itself, echoing into the future, carried out by that material they command. the banality of their grunts and sighs overshadows the echoes into distant lands. their seeing not subject, their gaze never downtrodden into mere object, to any chants or consecrated charms. ever watching, ever lumbering, and in all lands never casting away, for over its subjects its grip is absolute, and even they who cast the rippling stones themselves can do nothing but what is commanded
