Here's a strategy/colonization type doo dah that I so far really suck at but have loved playing. It reminds me of a weird hybrid of flow/liquid war with the atmosphere of Homeworld. But anyway it's ace and has lovely music by Milieu. Ch-ch-check it. Towards the beginning of my career in Nine Inch Nails, our biggest break came in the form of an invitation to perform a series of shows with Jane's Addiction. These performances essentially created and defined the term "alternative" rock in the US, created an ongoing festival franchise that is still thriving (Lollapalooza), set the stage for Nirvana to shift popular taste a few months later, and were really fucking FUN to play and attend - truly the best times I've had. The shows were epic. So epic, they propelled NIN to the "next level" (whatever that means), but caused Jane's to implode. The band broke up at the end of that tour. Fast forward to the present. Corpor…

So I had heard about this book for a long time and last week on a road trip I listened to the audio book (which was a weird experience, especially when the only voice actor attempts to change his voice for each character and tries to imitate chinese accents.) Pretty awesome stuff, but I don't think it translated very well to audio book, as the entire section from when they break into the guys house who is committing suicide until the end didn't really make very much sense. Could someone clear up exactly wtf was going on towards the end? Also Philip K Dick's Dr Bloodmoney and Ubik are both pretty fucking awesome books. Oh and World War Z was slightly disappoint…

i was hoping this flick would return credibility to the Terminator franchise, and this would be the icing on the cake. basically tying the rest of the franchise to the new film, it would be like her epilogue from T2 never ended. very cool. http://io9.com/5157570/mcgs-sarah-connor-d...-is-coming-true

broken bones thread 1 2
by Guest JohnTqs- 31 replies
- 2.1k views
i've never broken a bone before, but this happened to my bro a while back. the night before this incident, we had lost our dog. so he went out on his bike to put up some flyers . he was riding on the bikepath downhill with one hand, holding on to the flyers with the other hand, and he tried to brake. the brakes on this bike were notoriously bad, you had to squeeze them all the way in to brake at all and they would sqeak really really loudly. so the brakes didn't help and he just kept picking up speed, then the bike started to swerve (because there wasn't much air in the tires), he fell over the top of the bike going pretty fast and broke both of his wrists by bending them…

this guy brilliantly put together a vid showing you pretty much everything you shouldn't do to tune a snare drum. he does it in a way where u cant tell he's joking, gettin ppl to put corn starch into drums etc. Let's hijack the comment section so people not knowing any better try this shit here's mine "This helped alot. Gives me a sound similar to john bonham's superphonic! even with a wood snare drum! Your method is second to none and who would have ever thought of corn starch? what a great way to carry the torch in ways some people here obviously DONT GET!" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" v…

by Guest Shockerbrown- 14 replies

my brother's first time djing on stage previous saturday at his own electro/techo/minimal party with 3 other djs: btw, this was taken at the end of the party. the final dj was shannon (the dude in the pink shirt) and near the end my brother joined him spontaneously. of course my brother did his own set before shannon. I'm so proud of him (he also made this poster).

I am part of a dangerous experiment
by Guest Mr Salads- 21 replies

It looks like we have set up a meth lab in the apartment. Frankly Im a little nervous. What are the potential outcomes of this experiment, other than just having really awesome tasting beer that we've bottled up? Isnt it possible to die from this if something goes terribly wrong? Anyone with experiences would be welcome to post

inspired by the recent fellatio twig up arse owl perch picture. the game is we build a tree of people or animals... you must add a new person or animal by inserting part of said person/animal into the existing people/animals orifices currently in the picture (or vice versa) thus creating a tree-like structure out of people/animals being shafted by various limbs, digits, heads, etc. maybe not a tree but an ever-expanding orgy of people and animals. you get me? ok i'll start. oh lol this is going to be incredible...
