Do you ever make or listen to music for a few hours straight and at the end of the day you feel like you never want to listen to anything again, because pretty much everything sounds dull and annoying? I was wondering if any of you have ever felt the same and have some music or techniques to share that gets you back on your feet in those situations. Here's some music that has rehabilitative properties for me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SlWbTR3n_qg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lV4ixtEgug https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d81G9W8pEno https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12-2p3eNshg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUVmcKcTZ4A

So this is an idea that has been mentioned before. I think it would be a good idea. What are your thoughts?

I just noticed that you can't post anymore if you do not have a paid subscription even if you have several 1000 posts. Do you know old time members you miss because they didn't want to pay and by this got auto-banned?

Anyone else been playing Elite: Dangerous recently? I've got it and have been enjoying it like hell. I've recently been playing around Alliance territory in my ultra-modified Viper Mk III destroying any wanted ships in my path. Although it's amazing, the game still feels a little empty, but I'm sure the developers will flesh it out more soon enough.

And right out of the gate on day one, we have James Avery (AKA Uncle Phil/Shredder) "Sources close to the actor tell TMZ he died in an L.A. hospital last night. Avery had recently undergone surgery for an undisclosed illness and took a turn for the worse late yesterday." http://www.tmz.com/2014/01/01/james-avery-dies-fresh-prince-of-bel-air-actor-will-smith-alfonso-ribiero/

Norman Records informed me of this, wasn't aware. Has this fucked up receiving and sending your gifts? I was told it delayed shipping out of the UK by weeks, is that true? I thought USPS was unreliable...

Moon Wiring Club

Been listening to this guy for a while, don't know if anyone else is aware of him... His music shares a lot of common ground with the Ghost Box label (his most recent album was mastered by Jon Brooks, aka The Advisory Circle). Similar reference points; Edwardian/Victorian weird fiction and ghost stories etc. I can't describe the sound very well, but I suppose it's a bit like the Focus Group's sound collages, but with more emphasis on beats. Anyway, I recommend giving it a listen myspace: http://www.myspace.com/moonwiringclub

Haha, so I saw a documentation about US artist "Divine" the other day, seems like I have totally missed this in the past. Well I'm 42. I love that kind of trash and humour, in a way it reminds me in parts about what Helge Schneider in Germany does nowadays.

Hi I just wanted to draw people's attention to a very laudable campaign which is gaining traction. From the facebook page: The facebook page is here https://www.facebook.com/lfoxmas/info and is currently at 5,882 likes. Apologies if there is another thread for this, please let me know and I'll delete this one. I really like this idea the more i think about it.

You're having coffee or lunch or whatever and some politician rolls in hoping to press the flesh and get some good photo ops. He chats a up a few people and then comes to your table. What do you say? It's easy to think that what you say really doesn't matter. It probably won't. But on the other hand, especially if this is an election, and there's a lot of press following him around, you might be able to put the pol in an awkward position or at least have an opportunity to get an idea broadcasted. I can think of a few instances of American politicians meeting folks who set off stories that lasted a few cycles: the gay veteran, Joe the plumber, that time Hillary Cl…

ok, not really. it wasn't literally gas but rather fumes from powdered chlorine which were dispersed via a stairwell, either intentionally (likely) or accidentally. I just couldn't resist the thread title. and neither could news outlets because they're all reporting it as a bona-fide gas attack for maximum glee, alongside descriptions of the costumed convention-goers. I hope alco is ok.

Bleep pricing of digital goods
by Guest- 18 replies
- 1.8k views
Hey guys, sometimes I think Bleep are kidding me. EUR 13 or something for flac albums, almost the same price as the physical item. And what else do they offer? A crappy front cover jpeg. This is a big laugh. If I compare e.g. with professional services in the classical music department. eclassical.com. Or BIS (a label). Or the british Chandos label. You get up to 192khz audio PLUS PDF booklets directly from source, with those print makrs and everything. THIS is service. Bleep, sorry, #fail. Also they can learn from Valve/Steam, how to sell stuff. With Steam sales they make sure anybody buys games, even games you do not play, by selling stuff which sell bad…

I've seen justifiable outbursts or reactions by performers on stage to things like beer bottles being thrown, destruction of musical equipment, etc. In this situation I can't understand the justification, and combined with his bullshit brimming with narcissism apology it's beginning to convince me the guy is actually probably a fucking dick. thoughts? (edit: the way he turns around and shrugs after audible screams from the audience is ultra creepy too) official apology from his facebook account "hey guys, i only meant to push a large physical object in the direction of a female fan, i never meant to DROP that large physical object on top of her" i mean that's bas…
