This story suggests that we're already in the early phases of becoming cyborgs, more or less (TL;DR Warning) http://s.telegraph.co.uk/graphics/projects/the-future-is-android/index.html Sorry if this is too broad of a topic. But I think its relevance to present times will become more genuine as the years go on. What are your thoughts? Should this tech be limited to amputees or disabled persons? Hypothetically, if you volunteered to get augmented, what kind of enhancements would you want?

Ok, guys. I'm not really sure if I can use WATMM for dating or if this will get me banned, but I'm tired of meeting guys who listen to terrible, terrible music. If you live in London, are single, handsome and into what everyone listens around here, send me a message and we can have a pint at Cafe Oto. *Block thread if inappropriate*

Just saw "Gone Girl" yesterday, and I think it's well worth your time. Excellent soundtrack by Reznor and Ross, yet again. Great pacing, great acting. The only thing that sucks about it is the title. God, I hate that title. But anyway, did anyone else see this?

Hi I am new to this forum and hope to be checking out a lot of things from you all. Its nice to find a community of people supporting IDM Braindance what have you because its a dwinduling community at least in NYC where I live. Once upon a time I hosted an IDM night with OCDJ and played shows out of my van but NY has changed and I don't think there is much Braindance activity but I could be wrong and out of the loop hoping to connect with more people making it here. I also make tracks write songs and play trumpet and I will share some of my work when I get more friendly with this site. Anyway just saying hi

Hello WATMM. What are your thoughts on doing a fourth Christmas album this year? I loved the last three, and I'm excited to do another one, but we already have Goiter's Boss Battles compilation album this winter, and people might be too busy. If there's interest, I'll make a thread in EKT. If not, we'll see about next year I guess. WATMM, what say ye?!

http://www.gofundme.com/d23bsk So an abandoned fort at the mouth of the Thames estuary could be crowd funded into becoming a 24 hour nightclub. Worth a tenner of my money in case it happens! Depending on which council it falls under, I can see plenty of people objecting to this, and getting to and from the venue won't be easy... But the no noise restrictions and location make it pretty damn idm. Thought

So I'm writing my thesis now, and if all goes well I will be graduated after this. I will have to be looking for some sort of 'serious business' job with most likely a lot of responsibility soon. But I have the feeling I will never have time to make music again. Right now even I'm too stressed out to make any music, though I want to get back to it. Reconnect the hardware and escape into my own magical music worlds with tape hiss and everything, everything else seems so pointless sometimes. I'm sort of entertaining the idea that a simple mindless dayjob without too much stress would be better so I have time to make music. I'd have a lot less stress that way too. It wou…

I was starting to feel bad about derailing the "Marriage" thread with the related but distinct topic of reproduction. So here is a thread to focus on that subject. Do you have a right to reproduce? I contend that you don't. Here is why: --the harm principle: you have a right to do something so far as it doesn't harm anyone else. Being a bad parent could potentially fuck up another human being. --there are a hell of a lot of people already; overpopulation concerns are relevant here; lack of resources might not be a problem for some areas of the world, but they certainly are for others Sometimes people say that it's a "natural drive" to have children, or somethin…

I don't know if it has been posted before, but it's pretty IDM. The 176-acre campus includes a four-story, 2.8 million square foot circular office complex, meant to accommodate up to 14,000 employees, as well as a restaurant, fitness center, various transportation options, and countless other amenities. It will also incorporate more green space than is presently available at Cupertino's Campus 1. "Too many people believe you can't do this or that"—build either a practical workspace or an eco-friendly atmosphere. "What we've found is that both are doable," Cook said this week. "Because the long-term consequences of not addressing climate are huge." Of…
