For free on native instruments website, for registered users. some nice features, including super high quality anti aliasing, custom skins, a RESIZE FUNCTION (thank god) so you can just focus on the instrument you are working with, making the window MUCH smaller, also, a function that allows you to put various paramaters on the instrument panel, without having to open it (with the edit tool) to control them. I think some new sounds as well oh, and better sample search features, a limiter, and a pro compresser (and one other effect that I cant remember)

OK. I seem to be having annoying issues right 'bout here. I'll break it down to simple steps of annoyance: 1. If I use my crappy internal laptop soundcard (RealTek '97) using it's analogue output, everything seems fine. EXCEPT anything 2. If I use my ol' skool Extigy (which I'm sure used to work fine, and DOES INDEED work fine when I use the optical-out from my PS2 to the optical-in to the Extify) connected to the laptop via USB I get the occasional audio drop outs. I'd say I get about 1-2 audio drop outs every 10 minutes, which makes Biosphere fucking annoying when played loud on headphones. 3. If I use the SP/DIF out from my internal soundcard to th…

I usually just say "electric music" when people ask me what I make. I'm by no means smart on genres, so... any answers? I'd suggest going to this place to listen to stúff I make. The older stuff is not very relevant to anything I do nowadays, so it doesn't matter that it's not there. I hereby apologize for any irreversible damage I incur. I keep feeling intimidated by everyone's music & knowledge of it  !

We had a sticky topic like this on our last board, but I haven't seen one here. There are a lot of us in here who make music (or at least attempt to), so why not clue us in on who you are, what kind of music you make, and provide links to where your music is hosted? Me: J. Shipley aka Sleep Ophelia aka Sleep My projects: Sleep, Ophelia (my myspace page here) - My main project. I abandoned making instrumental electronic music in the middle of 2005, and the project is on hold while I figure out where I want to take it next. Whispers from a Dead World - My electronic black metal project, started September 2005. I have an album (CDr) coming out on a small new …

Hello, I've been convinced by a few people to put some of my music online, but it's been taking me a long time to get an actual website together, so for the time being I have put a few tracks up on Myspace... bad I know, but it will do for now. Anyway, just wondering what you people think... be nice please, I'm still very new to the whole music making thing. My Music Myspace Thanks.

so, hello.....(your reply here) lol neways, im looking for a sampler with pads for drumming thats possibly got place for batteries and thats not gonna cost me an arm and a leg, the batteries are for out of studio sampling and working outside... built in sequencer goes without saying.... any reccomendations, new models seem hard to find with batteries, so i dont have a problem with old models aslong as they sound good.... im also looking for a good cheaper synth with a sequencer, am looking into some korg equipment, first i saw the ms2000 and its other versions like the ms2000b and the ms2000br, but so far from what ive heard between them micro korg is the …

LOUD NOISE
by Guest hahathhat- 2 replies

i have a pretty damn large subwoofer. it has an anus in the back, where all the bass comes out. i wished to make a large amount of noise a while ago, so i stuck an SM57 into the aforementioned anus. then i ran that into my trusty bluetube and into my mixer. it is fucking loud. however, it is also very fun to play with. EQ allows me a little tuning of the sound, effects too. Even without that, it's a fun toy. If you're gentle, it builds very slowly, and you can have continually changing bass sound, only having to nudge a fader a few times a minute. i left it hooked up, and am debating its potential as an effects unit... anyways, that's mine. what do you use …

Anyone aware of some kinda plug that will take a signal and be able to progressively make something more mono? Idealistically i'd like to edit my bass sounds so that no matter how much chorus and stereo spread i put on them, i can apply a filter that will make the lower frequencies progressively more mono, but have the signal spread out to the normal stereo range the higher the frequency is. Please no replies with: make two signal, one mono, one stereo, filter them both and mix.

looking for a cheap microphone
by Guest 1KB- 16 replies

i've finally decided that i want to record some things, such as guitar, piano, me hitting things with other things, and the occasional joke-rap i ventured onto musicianswarehouse.com.au, home of cheap gear and 2-month waiting periods for out of stock turntables, to check out some prices. it was then that i realised i know absolutely nothing about microphones, AT ALL if i want to record a variety of different things, what sort of microphone (and what brand) would be best for me? i'm not looking for perfect quality, just a microphone that will get my point across and sound "good enough" at the moment my price range is up to about $100AUD, although if these mi…

do you have a microphone ?

i would like to gather, for a friend of mine (who makes music under the moniker Silencide), a bunch (enormous) of samples by different people saying "Silencide" or "77" and various sentences / expressions / slogans including those and that he could use in his music. the idea is actually to press a vinyl and scratch the samples so i could offer him 1 cd of samples (normal and scratched) and the vinyl. the more voices the better, the more funky freestyle things too ! would you help me offer him the best birthday present ever ? thx ! :D
